Our Streator branch raised donations for Northlawn School's Panther Pantry. The pantry generously provides non-perishable food and other items to students in need. Through a collaborative effort of selling "Panther Paw Prints" for a small donation and hosting a "Jeans Day" for employees, our Streator branch raised $500 in monetary donations, plus other items for the pantry.

We are pleased to congratulate Jennifer Dallas on her recent promotion to Market President for the Sauk Valley area, including its Dixon, Sterling, and Rock Falls locations.

As Market President, Dallas serves as a member of Midland States Bank’s Community Banking leadership team. She leads the market’s sales and management activities with her nearly 29 years of financial services experience to support the growth and development of retail, small business, and commercial programs and services.

Tracy Senko, a Bourbonnais, Illinois based Teller, was named as Midland’s 2023 One Midland Club Top Winner.
Tracy currently serves as a Teller at the Bourbonnais Latham Branch, helping customers with their banking needs. Prior to her time at Midland, she worked in healthcare but had an interest in a new career path in banking.

“My daughter inspired me to work at Midland. She encouraged me to give banking a try. She knew I loved working with the community and thought I would be a great fit,” Tracy said. “I’m glad that she was right. I love my customers and cannot thank them enough for nominating me for this award.”

Tracy chose the South Suburban Humane Society as her charity of choice to receive a $5,000 donation. The South Suburban Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter located in Matteson, Illinois that has been finding homes and providing resources for pets in Chicago's south suburbs for over 50 years.

“This donation is in memory of my dog, Tank. My experience with the staff at the South Suburban Humane Society has been amazing. You can tell that they try everything they can to make sure the animals find a great home.”

Amber Upmann, one of our One Midland Club winners, is a Credit Team Leader located in Rockford, Illinois. We celebrate Salina Palevo, Banking Center Manager of our Ottawa location, as our inaugural Bright Impact Award winner. The Bright Impact Award honors one employee who exemplifies community commitment through volunteerism. The recipient is selected based on several criteria including the hours of community service, hours of service that support financial wellbeing to communities, and variety of volunteer efforts completed. The winner receives a bonus award of $2,500. In addition, Midland donates $2,500 to the winner’s charity of choice.

“We encourage our teams to serve their communities, as we understand how vital community involvement, financial empowerment, and banking services are,” commented Shonna Kracinski, Chief Human Resources Officer for Midland States Bank. “Salina embodies our values and culture within her involvement in LaSalle County.”

In 2023, Salina provided more than 180 hours of local service including financial empowerment sessions with local nonprofit organizations and schools as well as committee involvement with Ottawa Network of Young Executives, Wallace Athletic Club, and Women’s Inspired Network.

Midland donated $2,500 to Ottawa’s Community Food Basket on behalf of Salina.

“The Community Food Basket provides an intentional, impactful focus on health and wellness,” Salina said. “I am thankful to be able to support their mission with this donation.”
