This week we celebrated our May Leaders of the Month and Specialist Award winners at our end-of-month assembly, which also happened to be the last assembly of the school year. Congratulations to our Lowell Leaders and have a safe summer! 💙💛

When you’re passionate about what you like, you want to share it with others! That’s what 5th grader Carter Stark did when he started a petition to get strawberry milk for all of his classmates. With over 200 signatures gathered, the strawberry milk was delivered - yum!

Lowell’s student lighthouse team collected BINGO prizes for Ravenwood Specialty Care. The team took what was collected to Ravenwood and got a tour of the facilities. They made new friends and some even exercised with the residents! Kollin found his aunt that worked there. Thanks to everyone who donated!!!

We had a Lighthouse Celebration today with all students! Grade level teams moved to different classrooms and shared an activity for each of the habits. Staff and students had a great time celebrating!!

The Second graders had a wild time on their field trip to the Blank Park Zoo last week! The students go to see lots of exciting animals, learn new facts, and hang out with their classmates.

Waterloo Fire Rescue & EMS will be hosting an open house on May 23rd for National Emergency Medical Services week. Take a look at the flyer for this completely free event!

A huge thank you to all of the Lowell families that came out to the final family night of 2023-24! We were so excited to share our Lighthouse Journey with the community and give away some pretty cool prizes to the BINGO winners.

While our current Kindergarteners had the day off, it was signing day for some future Cougars! Kindergarten Orientation allowed incoming families to meet some of our staff, explore our building, and do some fun activities! See you in the fall, Future Cougars. 🐾

Beyond Frozen- students entering 4th grade through 7th grade
Musicmania- entering 1st-8th grade
SETT: Middle School Week- entering 8th-9th graders
SETT High School Week- entering 10th-12th
Intro to Robotics- entering 5th through 7th grade
Bio Tech Camp- entering 9th through graduating seniors

Lowell was well represented at the Waterloo Schools Foundation breakfast. Thank you to Mrs. Peters, Ms. Milks, Kayah, and Kollin for sharing our Lighthouse Journey with every one.

The theme of our April Family Night was Sounds of the World, and our families and staff really showed up! A huge thank you to everyone that showed up in traditional dress and helped set up the many musical activities. A special shoutout to La Michoacana for providing the tasty tacos and burritos for our event!

Please join us for Family Night tonight from 5:30-7:00 pm. A meal and multi-cultural activities will be provided.
