I have been asked if reading the musical notes is important when you play the piano. I always say yes, very important.
I explain reading the notes is the same as you can read a book whether it is in English,Thai, Korean, French, etc.
Yet, there are other important skills besides reading the notes. And, they are memorizing, sight reading, improvising, and listening!
