Rubenzahl, Knudsen and Associates is seeking a full-time secretary for its busy behavioral health office. The position available is Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5/5:30 PM. The secretary will perform several tasks to support administrative professionals, therapists, and psychologists. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: excellent communication skills, direct contact with patients, contacting insurance companies, filing, typing, and accounting. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs is helpful. We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years' experience working in a healthcare office. RKA Psychological Services is a private practice in Watertown and Lowville, NY. We have 5 psychologists and 9 master’s level therapists. Over the past 28 years, our practice has built an excellent reputation for providing quality clinical and forensic services to children and adults. We have steadily expanded, balancing the need to provide more services with our priority of remaining a cohesive, close team.

RKA is now offering neuropsychological evaluations for those with thinking difficulties such as poor memory or concentration, or for those who may have conditions that can affect cognition such as dementia, head injury, epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease. Testing can help to reach a correct diagnosis, determine contributors to cognitive difficulty, and measure the severity of difficulty in different areas of cognition. Recommendations are offered. Evaluations are conducted by Jake King, PhD, a residency-trained neuropsychologist who recently joined our team. He sees people aged 18+ and accepts self-pay and most insurances.
