So I am in the Chicago area for the week on a business trip . After today’s meetings we all went to a little local winery . I thought this is the perfect message if I get lost .

So today was Sewing For A Cause 2nd Annual Expectant Mothers Tea . What an amazing event and what an organization! Please look them up . Now I am in a quandary . Sally brought some goodies home . So which cupcake to eat ? I should note I have already eaten a number of the other baked goods. So far the super moist banana bread muffins have me hooked. There were four and with one left it keeps calling out my name .

So in leaving RI this afternoon to spend the night in Rockport Ma , driving up 95/128 it was bumper to bumper , moving at a crawl driving in the Southbound lane coming out of Boston . Driving North it was full speed ahead . That was until I got to Waltham where all the big tech companies line the road . Then things really slowed down to I might as well read a book around Woburn until an accident was cleared . Then this was Danvers with another accident delay. Once past this area it was back to full steam ahead !

This was the only quilted garment at the NEQE show. But it and a number of quilts were offered for sale . We will be vending at next years show.

So the second big room at the NEQE had some amazing quilts .Will post some of them in groups of four .

So the quilt Sally created is so unique the Quilt Show gave her a special place to display it . Remarkable how it can be any size you want it to be . Everyone sees different design elements and the quilting was all done by hand!

So this young lady was the the first to buy some of our Accuquilt products . Now there is a reason she decided to buy three dies. Let’s just say our opening specials are so great Accuquilt will not allow us to advertise the super deals . If you already own the system you are going to love the deals. If you have been thinking about purchasing the system this is the best deal you will ever find . Then ,if you have no idea what it is ,both Jan and Marianne have owned the cutters for many years and will show you why you cannot live without one .
This is just one of many new additions we’re adding in April ,May and June ! The 18 month expansion was our biggest ever . This three month expansion will top that . You most definetly want to keep looking at our page for the teasers and the reveals!!!

So another semi . This time with no lift gate . So it was unpacking three palettes and using our handcart to bring the boxes in . A few weeks ago we showed a video of Jan and I and showed a white table that came in from Horn of America to be the centerlpircece of a new department . This is the merchandise . Let’s see if anyone can finally guess! The hints are that this company is a cut above and makes their products in Omaha , Nebraska . We are their only Maine dealer and we decided to start out with the biggest selection in New England . Their products have not even been put on the slatwall .Already selling briskly with some amazing grand arrival specials . We expect customers from around the state will join our Club . Meetings in person or join in by Zoom !

Jan has two favorite recipes , so we will have to see if she goes with her favorite Italian recipe or the long time favorite family recipe! I did suggest to her two wines that would pair perfectly with each recipe .

So day two of Kaye Collins classes were all about long arm robotics . The morning session was Intermediate ProStitcher and the afternoon class was Designer which everyone has a lot of question on how to use it . Kaye will be back September 13th and 14th. Now you can be the first ones to sign up to learn from one of the most knowledgeable quilters in the country.

So it’s going to be a day of rest

So Mother Spring was very upset with Mother Winter with giving us last weeks really slippery snow storm . She has has put her foot down and told Mother Winter -I am not going allow you to have a major blizzard. So thankfully , we are not going to get the high winds and heavy snow . After all the work we have put in getting ready for the Maine Shop we have decided not to open today . It will be a day to give the staff a break and for our customers to also enjoy a day at home .
Now Mother Spring has told Mother Winter that just because she was lazy during Winter enough is enough. So we get to enjoy close to 60 degree weather next week and Mother Winter has to wait for three seasons before coming back!
