Little Sandy Creek Farm
We run a small scale farm located just a few miles from Wausau, Wisconsin with our main focus on grass fed and finished beef.
We also sell eggs, garden vegetables, and maple syrup.
Sunsets here are just amazing and the flowers look fabulous with all the rain we have had! 🌅
I don’t think I will ever get tired of taking sunrise and sunset pictures. What’s something you take a lot of pictures of?
There are no words… last night was amazing! Hope you were able to get outside and see the northern lights!
Drive your tractor to school day! 🚜
Brady got to “drive” his tractor to school today with some of the high school students at Antigo!
Come and check out this local event!
There was a beautiful rainbow this morning! Anyone else see it? The first time I have ever seen a rainbow to the west, bring on the rain. 🌈 🌧️

First loaf of sourdough completed last night! 🥖
This is a learning process but a fun one. My dough wasn’t wet enough when I started but it turned out and tastes delicious.
What new things are you learning this year?!
Anyone else on this sourdough journey?! 🥖
We just started last week, haven’t made bread yet but these sourdough discard crackers are amazing and so are sourdough discard pancakes that we had for breakfast this morning. It’s a learning process; one goal for new years was to make more of my own bread.
2023- was a great year! Looking forward to seeing what 2024 has in store for us as a farm and family!
To ensure a quality meal get eaten for dinner most nights; cooking takes place over the weekend or late evenings. By the time we get home from work and school there is limited time to cook and usually the kids need the most attention the minute we walk in the door. Tonight I made chicken stir fry after dinner and before bedtime.
When do you cook dinner?!
I’m going to say it again… plant all the fruit!
We are enjoying fall raspberries, they don’t make into the house because they are so tasty.
Next year we are adding some grapes, another cherry tree, one more apple and thinking I’ll try a peach tree.
We have waited five years for this pear! It was super yummy, even if the skin didn’t look so great. About a doz or so pears this year, hopefully more next year. Now to fight the kids for the few that there are! 🍐
Double rainbow from last week!
Blessed to live on this beautiful piece of land! 🌈
Just some happy cows munching on grass!
Beautiful morning!
Blueberry pancakes for breakfast
Blueberries picked fresh from Shades of Blue

Beautiful morning sunrise!
Getting chores done early to beat the heat! Stay safe and cool today!
Supporting local and family!
Needed some veggies for dinner since our garden is a little behind because of this weather so I stopped at The Farm Stand.
Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
Happy cows are enjoying their new pasture. Kevin’s been working hard at fencing a new pasture for them. This pasture has trees all around it, which allows for shade from this heat. We are all ready for some rain and cooler temps.
Surprise!! 🐣
A hen and 10 baby chicks showed up to the barn this morning!! I have no idea where she was hiding for the past month but now we have 10 new babies. I also moved a broody hen two weeks ago to an area to try to let her hatch out some eggs. Chicken math… we will see how many new hens we get!
Brady and I had a great morning picking at Backwoods Berry Farm, right down the road from our house. Strawberry jam, frozen berries for winter smoothie, dehydrated berries, and of course some for fresh eating. We will be back for a second picking for sure!
What’s your favorite thing to make with strawberries? 🍓
If you live in the neighborhood you probably have seen this trailer parked in our yard this week. We found an on-site butcher for our blind steer. It’s a bitter sweet ending to our 100% born and raised problem steer. He has broken more fence, gotten out, lost for hours as a baby, and freaked out when it came time to leave with the other steers. Extra thankful we found someone to do it for else Kevin would have been brushing off the dust from his days working at Country Fresh Meat while in high school.
