1st Quarter Gratitude Report 2024
Greetings Friends,
As I struggled with how to open this report, I was reminded of Psalm 100:4, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name.” As we approach the most important date in our calendars, the resurrection of Christ, I can only pause and give thanks to God for His gift. Our Holy God desiring to make a way for us to enter relationship with Him. My eyes tear up as I type that truth. It is this truth that we take into the prison and share with our clients. My heart is full of thanksgiving for oh so many things!
We continue to minister to the ladies at CCNO. We frequently hear their stories, and we are seeing fruit from our labors. They come eager to hear God’s Word and seeking relationship with Him. Every time we leave the building, we are giddy with excitement for all that God is doing in that ministry. Our travel there provides us time to pray and prepare and our travel home grants us time to recap and praise God for how He met us there.
We have seen an increase of referrals and new clients. We are helping hurting women find HIM! Please pray with us for these women who are struggling and dealing with past hurts. Also, please pray for our volunteers. We are seeking God for increase and know that He has a plan.
We are grateful for our donors…. you keep us warm, insured, provide materials, and supply our office. Your prayers are felt and so welcomed! Thank you!
Our current needs are copying paper, business envelopes, and postage. We are asking God to lead others to partner with us in this ministry as peer counselors, help with our CCNO Ministry, social media, and administrative duties. Join us in prayer and if you feel led to learn more give me a call!
May you all have a blessed Easter!
Joyfully,
Bonnie

Happy Holiday’s from Joy Ministries
Dear Friends, 4th Quarter 2023
We are so grateful for each one of you! “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!” Psalm 95:6. We wish you a Christ filled holiday celebration! We are also very mindful of those who have experienced loss. Our prayer is that the comfort of our God will fill you with peace.
I always get excited when I get the opportunity to share what we’ve been up to over the last 3 months and this quarter is no exception! Our team of volunteers at Correction Center or Northwest Ohio (CCNO) has faithfully ministered the gospel to the women. We have been averaging 12 and let me tell you these women are HUNGRY for the gospel! On December 21st we have a team going to help pass out cookies and Christmas cards to the inmates…we are so excited.
Our client base continues be consistent and we have recently seen an increase in need. Our volunteers love listening and pointing to Jesus, and we’ve seen our clients deepen their relationship with Christ!
On December 12th we celebrated the season with a meal, fun Christmas Bingo (Which I might add I’m pretty good at!) and great conversation.
From left to right: Charlene Warner (Prayer Coordinator, Peer Counselor, Advisory Team Member), Tim Coll (Peer Counselor and Advisory Team Member), Sue Coll (Peer Counselor, Advisory Team Member and CCNO team), Jeremy Lowe (spouse), Jessica Lowe (Receptionist, CCNO team) and Larry Hudspeath (Peer Counselor, and Advisory Team.).
Front row: Charlene Warner, Sue Coll, Jessica Lowe. Back Row: Tim Coll, Bonnie Hudspeath, and Larry Hudspeath.
Just a few, not yet complete, statistics from this year; Our volunteers logged 98.7 hours of peer counseling serving 14 women and 1 couple, our CCNO team will have logged nearly 150 hours by the end of the year with average attendance of 10. Our donations, though slightly below what we hoped, have covered our expenses…God has been faithful to provide! Our year end reports will keep us busy in January.
Thank you for your support and prayers. Our current needs are copying paper, envelopes, postage stamps and a small space heater for our room.
Joyfully, Bonnie P.O. Box 88, Wauseon, Ohio 43567

3rd 2023 Quarter Gratitude Report
Friends,
It’s been a busy season for Joy Ministries as we continue to serve. On September 16th we hosted our 3rd Community Prayer Walk at the park near our center. It was a beautiful day and we learned about many organizations in our community. We prayed for the Body of Believers, Families, Military, Servants of God, Health Care Workers, Government, Schools, Police, Fire and Safety Workers, and Release from Bo***ge. (Photos shared are top: Center Director Bonnie Hudspeath welcoming and sharing about Joy Ministries. Bottom from left to right: Dennis Shackleton, military. Officer Jan Tropf, police, fire, and safety. Ivan Hite, Clinton Township trustee, government. All shared with permission.)
On September 23rd we will participate in Delta’s Worship in The Streets Event. Our focus being on recruitment. We are planning training mid-October for new volunteers.
Our ministry at Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio continues to grow. We added volunteers Jessica Lowe and Sue Coll to our team. This is such a wonderful ministry! These ladies are always so grateful and happy to see us. For me the most special time is when we ask each one how we can pray for them…. we want them to know that they are not forgotten that they are loved and prayed for. Currently we are averaging about 9 women each Bible Study.
We continue our one-on-one peer counseling services helping those who are struggling. This quarter we have served 8 clients, and many have moved on from clients to friends! That’s the JOY in our ministry!
As I reflect on the last quarter my heart is full! As a ministry we have been able to focus on the things God is revealing to us and move in preparation for the future. It has at times been hard BUT GOD always provides! We appreciate your prayers and support. Our needs right now are envelopes-business and the smaller ones, postage, printer cartridges for our HP 9015 printer, printing expenses for training material for our October Training Classes. You can also now donate using the Tithely App.
God Bless you All!
Bonnie

2nd Quarter 2023 Gratitude Report
I have so much I want to share with you all! It’s been a season of rest and reflection and listening to God…and it’s been so very good.
First, I want to share a story from one of our clients. LE writes…” When life happens, it can happen all at once. A major move, a new baby, my dad died, my grandma died…staying focused on who I am in Christ became hard with the pressures of wanting to be a good Christian, wife, and mother for God.” She continues, “CWM provided a safe place for me to examine, process, trouble-shoot, and plan. I was heard and understood. I was loved and cared for. The ability to share my grief and tears, my joy and victories, my short-comings and goals-has helped me to keep pushing forward in my walk by faith & to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus-always turning to Him by examining His Word and prayer. I am eternally grateful!” (Shared with permission). Her story is one of many who come to us for peer counseling…Jesus does the work; we partner with him in prayer and love and care for those who come to us. The work we do is so important!
A season of rest. Our volunteers did a great job of handling “all things center related” in my absence but it is good to be back.
CWM headquarters is encouraging us to lean into and focus on Psalm 23. Take time to rest and reflect in that beautiful scripture!
I recently heard a sermon about being on mission…using the gifts God has given, understanding it will cost you something, realizing it may take longer and look different than you anticipate, that it is bigger than just you and will involve others, it will require perseverance, it will encourage and challenge others, and it will be worth it. In my season of rest God challenged me big time. Oh, Lord being beside the still waters is refreshing and reflective.
We are currently in peer counseling with 9 clients and 1 couple. We are now back at CCNO after a brief absence. We are focusing on what we do well and leaning into the mission field that is before us. What do we need? Your prayers, your financial support and we need more volunteers. Not all volunteers need to be peer counselors. Volunteers can help in so many ways: CCNO Ministry, receptionist, bookkeeping, recruitment, community outreach, communications….and the list goes on! If you are interested in being on mission with us let us know! (1 Peter 4:10)

Enter into His presence..He is the Source! If you need someone to pray with you reach out to us!
Happy Easter! ✝️
Enjoy our 1st Quarter Gratitude Report. Also, note that we will be open by appointment only until the end of May. Please call the center and one of our volunteers will meet with you. 419-878-8823.
Something from this morning devotions has me pondering the daily provisions of God. Being content in my daily allowance. Understanding that we cannot drink or eat more than today’s supply. Charles Spurgeon reminds me~surplus gives us the care of storing it, and the anxiety of watching against a thief. I need to be content with His daily allowance. We have a sure portion, a portion given to us by the king. It is gracious and perpetual…thank you LORD for today’s portion!
What is your relationship with Christ like? Do you talk to Him daily? He is our Hope and desires relationship with us. If you are in a place where you need someone to walk with you through a difficult time or to pray with you....give us a call. We'd love to help! In His presence we find shelter!
4th Quarter Gratitude Report
Dear Friends of Joy Ministries,
We have so much to be thankful for, Colossians 2:7, “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” NLT. For us one of the MOST exciting things we do is to partner with God in helping the hurting as they grow in him! We see it in the lives of our clients and the women we love on at the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio. Sharing the Joy of Jesus with those he sends to us is our joy.
This October 5 volunteers completed the renewing of CWM’s Basic Peer Counseling Training. We celebrated those volunteers at our Appreciation Event on December 12th. Pictured below is Bonnie Hudspeath, Charlene Warner, Sue and Tim Coll. Not pictured is Larry Hudspeath.
Our CCNO team is sharing God’s word with an average of 14 women each visit. We recently purchased a Worship DVD so we can share music with them, and they love it! Lisa Sugg, Bonnie Hudspeath and Teresa Reckner serve at CCNO.
Our client base continues to grow. We are earnestly praying for more women and couples to train as peer counselors or volunteers. If you have a small group or Sunday School Class that would like to learn more about what we do please let us know, we’d love to send one of our volunteers to share.
Prayer Team meets on Tuesday’s at 2:30 to pray for volunteers, clients, donors and CCNO ministry as well as many other things! We have seen first-hand God’s faithfulness.
Our Advisory Team met in December and reviewed our goals and budget for 2023.
We celebrated our volunteers and BPCT students on December 12th at Das Essen Haus in Pettisville, Ohio.
God Bless you All!
Love,

3rd Quarter Gratitude Report
Greetings Friends!
I am reminded of Philippians 2:4 “Don’t look out only for your own interests but take an interest in others too.” NLT. The last 3 months have been active ones at Joy Ministries, and we have been about the business of taking care of the interests of others.
In July we began ministering at Correctional Center of Northwest Ohio twice a month. Our visits have been well received and we have an average of 14 women attending. We are so blessed and encouraged as we take them the gospel. We also had a volunteer cookout on July 22nd. A great time of fellowship and games….and food!
August, we started our Basic Peer Counseling Training. We have 5 volunteers renewing their training. We are aiming to complete our training the beginning of next month. We were also deep in the planning for our Community Prayer Walk to be held in September. (Check out our FB page or website for photos.). Our Advisory Team met to oversee budget and to plan for year-end events.
Last weekend we held our 2nd Prayer Walk at Reighard Park. We had many volunteers and community leaders’ partner with us this year. We were hoping for better attendance but all who participated had a great time. We ended with praise and worship.
The need for faith-based peer counseling is evident in the number of clients we continue to serve. God has his hand on this ministry, and we are pleased to be able to partner with Him in providing help, hope and encouragement to those He sends to us.
We would love to have more volunteers as the need for peer counseling increases. Please share our information. Your faithful financial support equips us…THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!
Bonnie
