State Line Dairy Goats
ADGA registered Nubians and LaManchas
StreamsOfMercy Ever Eden is a 2 year old, 1st freshener. She is the foundation of our token Saanens. She has a lot of maturing to do, but we feel she has all the right pieces! Rear udder picture in the comments. We have retained her 2024 doe kid by Vineyard View Social Torrent. We plan to breed her to Companeros Social Taboo for 2025 kids.

Our list of available animals is now posted on our website. Some beautiful milkers and dry yearlings, as well as a handsome buck, are looking for new herds. None of these animals are culls. We just have too much going on and need to trim numbers to keep the herd more manageable. The milkers are very well behaved on the milk stand and are used to being hand milked. Check them out!

Added a few pictures of available animals.
With kidding season mostly over, it's time to start making cuts in the adult herd to make chore time more reasonable and to keep numbers down for next year. We have 3 Nubian milkers that are ready to go now, as well as a Nubian dry yearling and a Nubian/Lamancha dry yearling available. There will be a couple more milkers added to the list in the next few weeks. We have current pictures of most that are ready to go now, but still working on putting the list and info together to post on the website. If you are interested in a milker or a dry yearling - send us a message!
State Line Peace Lily made a splash with her show ring debut today at the Best In The Northwest 4H club show in Hicksville, Ohio! She went grand and later on was named Best Junior Doe In Show!

Kidding begins in just a couple weeks, so we thought we'd feature the three does due this month. They just happen to be a dam and daughters trio who are all bred to Redwood Hills Atlas Derecho. Also pictured is Prim's 2023 daughter, Lily, who is sired by Derecho and one of our favorite coming yearlings. Doe kid reservations are open.

Introduction time for a really neat doe who joined our herd back in September.
Shady Lawn Royal Primrose
Primrose is correct in general appearance, strong on her feet and legs and her escutcheon is very promising. We're excited for her future and to have a Price-O-The-Field Royal Marcus daughter in our herd! When our live breeding plans for Primrose didn't work out, we decided to try AI. Why not? Taking a chance paid off! We are thrilled to have her confirmed bred to Woest-Hoeve TS Thunderbird for end of March kids!
Breeding season is finally winding down with only a couple of does left to breed, we hope! Yesterday we confirmed pregnant our first group of does via BioPRYN. Prim, Priya and Pearl are all confirmed bred to Redwood Hills Atlas Derecho. We have also done some AIs this year and are thrilled to have Teal come back as pregnant!

June born bottle babies!
I've been going back and forth about this doe kid. Due to the big age gap between her and my other doe kids, I've decided to let her go. She has a fancy pedigree. She is a paternal granddaughter of +*B Wingwood Farm TL Atlas and is linebred on his dam, SGCH Wingwood Farm Tim's Althea 1*M. She also has ++*B My-Enchanted-Acres LM Candyman on her dam's side. Born 6/9/23. She comes with her brother, who is castrated. They must leave together. G6S normal by parentage and raised on CAE and coccidia prevention. Please private message the farm page with inquiries.

We attended the Williams county open show yesterday and had a great day. The highlights were having StreamsOfMercy Tikvah and StreamsOfMercy Ever Eden go Jr. GCH in their respective breeds! Both earning their dry legs.
It was a long, but fun day at the Tri-State Dairy Goat Association yesterday! We only took a handful of does, but they did extremely well.
Autumn-Acres Effervescence - 1st place 3 year old, GCH Sr Lamancha
State Line Crimson Rosella - 1st place 2 year old out of 10 entries
StreamsOfMercy Tikvah - 3rd place Sr. Kid out of 13 entries
State Line Xantus - 1st place dry yearling, GCH Jr. Nubian
State Line Shasta - 7th place Int. Kid out of maybe 11 or 12 entries
StreamsOfMercy Ever Eden - 2nd place dry yearling out of 10 entries
Yesterday we had linear appraisal and picture day. We are pleased with the direction our herd is going. Linear appraisal is such a helpful tool in critically evaluating our herd. We were thrilled to get Teal scored. She's had a bit of heartbreak story. She was our first live AI kid. She earned her dry leg as a kid, but that would be the last time she saw the show ring. As a 2 year old she freshened beautifully, but must have been hit by another doe which resulted in a broken elbow. She was dried off early and given the following year off to recover. We didn't have high hopes that she could be a brood doe, let alone ever get scored. Having over a year to recover paid off! Though she has a permanent limp, she carried kids well this year and looks great! Udder pictures in the comments under each doe's picture.

Some promising first fresheners this year! On the left is State Line Crimson Rosella and on the right is Shady Lawn KT Bree.
Our first kids of the year arrived before the weekend just as we confirmed our last doe is bred! State Line Primrose had a single doe and State Line Pearl had twin does, all sired by Redwood Hills Atlas Derecho.
State Line Jenday is confirmed bred to Derecho for June kids! 🙃
We have about a month until the first kids of the year are due! First up to kid are Prim and Pearl, a dam and daughter pair. Both are bred to our junior herdsire, Redwood Hills Atlas Derecho. Pearl had a difficult delivery with a big single last year and didn't make much milk. Her udder was very promising, but she was dried off to lessen the workload. Both does were ultrasounded and looked to have 2 or 3 kids each, so we're hoping Pearl will get a chance to shine this year.

Changing things up with a little elfin magic! StreamsOfMercy Christiana is confirmed bred to Vineyard View Social Torrent for a mid March kidding. Torrent is a son of GCH(pending) Vineyard View True Typhoon 12*M EX93 and *B Vineyard View SocialDistancing. We expect kids from this cross to be fancy, productive and white!
