We are in the planning stages of our 2020 show in December. We hope to have the date and location confirmed soon.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the show I’m glad we were able to introduce the world of cat shows to so many of you.

There are still many cats and kittens available for adoption through Ellis County SPCA, Avoiding CAT-astrophe and Recycled Love Animal Rescue. If you cannot adopt right now, please consider donating money, food, litter, blankets, anything else they may need.

We hope that many of you were able to attend our show. We will start planning our December 2020 show very soon.

If anyone is Interested in joining this hobby: did you know that you can show your own “house cat?” A show cat does not have to be a purebred. The next show in Texas will be the last weekend of January in a Houston suburb. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions

CAT SHOW this weekend, right here in Waxahachie, in the Southeast corner of the Metroplex!
Held in the Ellis County Youth Expo Center on 287 Bypass Saturday and Sunday
Come see over 150 cats and kittens, including many for adoption. Shop for yourself and your pets from our many vendors.
Please bring a donation of food for pets served by Meals on Wheels of Ellis and Johnson Counties. Those little tummies will really appreciate it this winter.

This great group will have cats and kittens at our show next weekend. Why wait? See them at Petco this weekend.

Adoptable Cats

Elis County SPCA will be present at our show with cats for adoption. Some of the cats currently available are here on their website. They have many more. Consider stopping by their shelter for a look. You might find the purrfect new cat for your home before you even come to the show.

Non-Pedigreed Cats

Have you ever wanted to see if your cat has what it takes to be a show cat? Unlike dog shows, TICA Has two classes of competition for non-pedigreed/non-purebred/non-“registered” kittens and cats. These felines are called Household Pet Kittens(HHPK) and Household Pets (HHP). Kittens are 4 to 7 months old and cats are adults from the day they turn eight months old. To become a competitor in our show, a cat needs to be clean, healthy and free of all disease, with freshly trimmed nails and cleaned ears. The cat has to be able to be handled by a stranger (the judge) and not spooked by the sights, sounds, and smells of the show hall.

Will make sure that you’re placed in the show hall with friendly neighbors that will help you with all aspects of the weekend. Join us!!

We will accept entries until Monday, December 9 at 6 PM. This is a FIRM deadline. All entries must be in the catalog and judges’ books.

The wonderful rescue group, Averting Cat-astrophe is planning on bringing to our show many cats and kittens for adoption. These cats are all in foster homes, so a lot is know about their personalities and history. Please let consider adding a new furry friend to your family.

A former AC cat is even a competitor in the Household Pet Class at the show.
