We called Jason “Catfish” because he loved to fish - we are mourning his passing and want to send our love to his dear sweet wife Tracey Ross Hencely

She has been his rock and stood with him, she has held his hand and cried with him these last few months - when no one else was around, she was there by his side.

I often speak about grocery store honey not being local honey. People debate me on this a lot. So, please do the math. If it takes this many bees to produce 1 pound of honey, how many do you think it would take to stock a Walmart, consistently? Think about it. Do you know anyone who is running thousands upon thousands of beehives in this area? No, you do not, because they do not exist. Packers buy honey in barrels from beekeepers all over the world. They blend it and put it on your local shelf and call it a local product. It is not local, not at all. This isn’t an issue if you are just eating honey to eat honey. It’s an issue if you are eating local honey for the local pollen. People even debate me on that topic! I know that I suffered from allergies my whole life. Once I started eating my honey, I stopped taking all allergy medications. Anyway, just thought I’d try to share some math to make my point. Support your local beekeepers! 🙂
