After a day of shoveling ourselves out, we finally made it up to enjoy the new snow. What a wild ride of a storm that was . Even more fun sharing it with these two.

I had the pleasure to spend a couple days at the Western Region Zone 1 FIS U19 races. Amazing weather, incredible athletes, and tremendous effort by all those involved in making it happen.

Snow. Is. Fun.

Oh, and a fresh storm has rolled in today delivering the first 1" of what could be another 6"+ of new overnight. See you on the mountain.

Riders on the storm kinda day! While we're pretty sure 9 year old Evan here won't get the reference of a now 50 year old song, his dad will fill him in when the time is right. Let the mountains make you feel like a kid no matter how old you are.

December 9th I had an opportunity to hitch a ride to the top of Mission Ridge to attempt to capture a forecasted Aurora. Unfortunately it wasn’t visible in the lower latitudes, but I was able to walk away with this image. A view from the top of the new Chair 2, still under construction. Looking forward to many rides on this great addition to our favorite local ski resort.

The Halloween blue moon, not seen in all time zones since 1944, rises and sets. According to NASA this will happen again in 19 years.
