Not only is grease unhealthy for you, but it is horrible for your drain pipes. Once the grease cools down, it solidifies into a solid mess that clings to your pipes causing blockages.
If you already poured grease down your drain, you can use hot water and dish soap to help to remove the grease from your pipes, but it will eventually end up in the sewer system.
The safest way to dispose of grease is to pour it into a container and wait for it to cool. Then once the grease cools, you can just throw it away.

What does my sump pump actually do?
