We had an amazing Driver's Meeting last night at Lac Lawrann, highlighting driver introductions, updated policies and procedures, and driver stories! It is incredible to see how our volunteers step up and are able to communicate tips and tricks that work for them to the other drivers. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the meeting last night as well as ALL of our Interfaith volunteers who impact the lives of our community seniors. The stories that were shared last night are so special and affirm why what we do is SO needed in this community.

What's for Dinner Wednesday?
Hibachi Shrimp Rice Bowls - so good and easy!!
Ingredients:
• ½ cup mayo
• 2 tbsp. ketchup
• ½ tsp. garlic powder
• ½ tsp. paprika
• Few dashes of hot sauce or to taste optional
• 3 tbsp. unsalted butter divided
• 1 lb. raw shrimp peeled, deveined, and patted dry
• 4 tbsp. soy sauce divided
• 1 medium zucchini sliced
• 1 small-medium onion chopped
• 1 egg
• 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
• 4 cups cooked rice cooled
• 2 tbsp. soy sauce

Grilled Chicken Margherita (Made this last week, and it was SO good!)
Ingredients:
• 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts - pounded to less than 1 inch thickness - (I used grilled boneless chicken thighs)
• salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning - (OR ½ teaspoon dried oregano + ¼ teaspoon dried basil + ¼ teaspoon dried thyme)
• 4 slices mozzarella cheese

• ½ cup cherry tomatoes - halved

GROWING our service!
Interfaith, ADRC of Washington County, Wisconsin, and Falls Area Food Pantry have begun an initiative to deliver food to homebound seniors in Germantown & the SW Corner of Washington County! We had a great "first day," and we couldn't have done it without the help of dedicated volunteers Pete, Dave, Becky and Linda! And the seniors served could not have been more grateful ❤️

This is such a fun day for all! Please spread the word to caregivers and their loved ones! 💕

Creamy Tuscan Tortellini
Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 4 cloves garlic minced
• 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
• 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes see note
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste
• 6-8 cranks of freshly-ground black pepper
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 18-20 ounces fresh cheese or spinach-filled tortellini
• 2 generous handfuls fresh baby spinach roughly chopped
• 1/4 cup freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
• Juice of 1/2 lemon

Grill or Oven Chicken Kabobs
Ingreidents:
CHICKEN AND VEGGIES
• 1 1/2 lbs. chicken breasts cut into 1 1/4” cubes
• 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, and/or orange) sliced into 1 1/4” chunks
• 2 zucchini cut into 1/2” slices
• 1 large red onion cut into 1 1/4” chunks

MARINADE
• 1/3 cup olive oil
• 3 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 1/2 tsps. EACH onion powder, garlic powder, salt
• 1 tsp EACH dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, paprika
• 1/2 tsp EACH pepper, red pepper flakes

PARMESAN YOGURT HERB DIP (OPTIONAL, RECOMMENDED)
• 1 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
• 1/4 cup finely freshly grated Parmesan
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons minced parsley
• 1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)

The complete veggie offering will be shared tomorrow Friday December 8th. This week's 50% sales recipient will be Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County. So much of our farms' charitable focus is on children and their families, so we figured we would switch it up this week. This organization helps seniors in our communities remain independent through helping with outdoor chores, rides to appointments, and basically any task a senior may need help with.
