With a flair for the dramatic, the 10u team placed 🥉in the Class C State tournament this weekend in Green Bay. The girls went 6-2 on the weekend with a come from behind walk-off victory and TWO games that went into tie breakers. Every girl contributed both offensively and defensively. We racked up 61 hits this weekend including an over the fence 💣 by Vayda. Pitching was 🔥🔥🔥 with 71 strikeouts. Our defense was solid with girls making the plays in front of them. And - everyone had FUN!!! Congratulations ladies!!!

This is a remarkable group of young ladies. Never give up and always have each other's backs, the best teammates you could ask for. It was a privilege to coach them this year, and we are incredibly proud. Finished the year strong with a 4th place finish at USA state. 💚🖤

18U USA WI Class C State Runner UP!

West Bend Lightning's 18U went into our very last tournament with one goal...to BATTLE. One pitch at a time, one play at a time, and one game at a time. Bracket play kept fans on their toes. Bracket game one was a come from behind overtime win that took every single player's help to pull off. Bracket game two kept things closer than head coach Laura's heart could handle, with a 3-2 win. We then found ourselves dropping into the losers bracket after bracket game three, and had to climb back up. Bracket game four brought us another win to put us into the championship game. A tough fought 7 inning game ended with a 2nd place finish. 💚🖤

⭐️ 12U USA WI State Class C Champions!! ⭐️

This group of girls are amazing! Fought through some really tough games this weekend. Fought from behind more times than the parents anxiety level would have liked😅 but most importantly they never gave up. They had each others backs all weekend and just played some amazing ball.

7-1 on the weekend. Undefeated through the championship game. Took a 11-9 loss to a very good Pirates team that we had beat earlier in bracket, forcing a second 7 inning championship game. The girls gave it their all and we won 10–5! 52 strikeouts this weekend from our amazing pitchers. 2 homers by Lydia and 1 by Ezrah. And a great showing by the whole team as every player contributed to scoring 77 runs this weekend

Germantown Summer Nights turned golden for the 12u team. The girls went 5-0 this weekend and took 🥇Bats were on 🔥🔥 outscoring opponents 48-11. Lydia hit a 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️💣. The three pitchers combined for 40 strikeouts! 🎯🎯🎯 Even in the semi final game against a tough team they never gave up; even when heading into the last inning down by 2. The girls bats lit up with a bunt , a triple and two doubles to take the walk off win. Way to battle ladies! Next weekend - state!

While West Bend Lightning 18U is preparing to take the field for the very last time together this upcoming weekend, these ladies have also been working hard on their next adventures. We're so proud of their journeys, so please join us in bragging about "what's next" for our young ladies.

14U Black went 3-1 and took the Championship in the (muggy) rain-shorted Velocity Hometown Throwdown 2024 Tournament this past weekend.

The 10U team traveled to Baraboo for our overnight tournament this past weekend. While the outcome wasn’t what we were hoping for (1-3 on the weekend) the team had fun swimming 🏊‍♀️ and bonding. On the field we had some good defensive plays, solid effort by our pitchers 🎯 and played good solid softball but the results weren’t there. Congrats to Elsa for joining the 💣 squad and McKenzie for her first tournament hit 🎉 up next - Class C state!

12u had an amazing weekend in Baraboo but unfortunately their weekend was cut short due to (you guessed it) rain 🌧️. The team went 3-1 on the weekend , their only loss was a nail biter loss by 1 in the bottom of the 6th inning. This team came ready to play , outscoring their opponents 30-3. Pitchers combined for 31 strikeouts 🔥 Bummed our weekend was cut short but so proud of how the girls continue to push themselves and progress each game.

2nd place, Baraboo Thunder Classic. Outstanding pitching by Olivia and Alayna all weekend. Solid defense and hitting coming from every player. Great team performance!! 💚⚡🖤

14U Black played in a very competitive Uncle Charlies Red, White and Boom Showcase tournament in Fond du Lac this past weekend. The team went 3-3, played well, but were ultimately eliminated in Sunday bracket play. Highlights included three HR’s, (including one at Marian College McCormick Field), four triples, multiple doubles, two double plays and twenty k’s by Lightning pitchers. 14 Black resumes play in the Velocity Hometown Throwdown after a well deserved break over the July 4th Holiday. 💚🖤💚

The rain stayed away and 10u team was able to play at the Beaver Dam Open. We went 2-1 in pool play and made the gold bracket. Unfortunately we fell in the first round of bracket and were done early on Sunday. This weekend our pitchers racked up 46 strikeouts in four games 🎯🎯 Game MVPs were Piper, Vayda and Eden. Proud of the team for continually improving; next time we’ll put it all together. The tens are on a break until July 12-14 in Baraboo.

🚨🚨New 12U 💣 squad member!! April to left field for a four -bagger. 🚨🚨

What started as a 🌧️🌧️ tournament for the 12s tuned 🥇 as the team came out hot on Sunday going 4-0 on the day. The team out scored opponents 39-16 including a 💣 from Lydia. Pitchers Kaylin and Monroe combined for 30 strikeouts in four games. The championship game went an extra three innings 😳😳 with the team coming back from being four runs down to win 12-10. 🎉🎉 Glad to have our team back healthy and back together! 💚🖤💚🖤

Last night, 14Green traveled to Madison to watch the Madison Night Mares take on the La Crosse Steam in the Northwoods Softball League. The girls got to see some great softball action, meet some players (hi Kayla Thomas and Carly Oliver!) and maybe have some more fans at their games this weekend. 💚🖤🥎🥎🖤💚
