I attended a cosmetic surgery course this weekend by Dr Joe Niamtu. It was an excellent course and I learned a lot that I am going to try and employ in my practice. Just purchased a Straumann BLX implant system for my practice. These implants have the advantage that they integrate about twice as fast as traditional dental implants allowing a dentist to restore them in as little as 6 to 8 weeks rather than 4 months.

I am an Oral Surgeon serving the Greater Columbia, Lexington, and Irmo areas. I live in Lexington, SC with my wife and 4 kids. I served in the US Army for 16 years and it is where I received my oral surgery training. I love taking out teeth and placing dental implants and many times I can perform both at the same time (i.e. immediate implants).
