🏆 Another Record-Breaking Year 🏆

Library Director Jenna Kahly presented the West Fargo Public Library’s 2023 Annual Report during tonight's City Commission meeting. In 2023, the library saw record numbers in all areas.

“West Fargo is a community of readers and life-long learners that love their local library,” Kahly said. “In 2023, more books were checked out from the West Fargo Public Library than ever before.”

Did you see this potentially huge news from the WFPL?

Did you see the West Fargo Library in the news this week? Have you heard the rumors about a second library location? Here's some more information about what's going on.

The library is talking with city administration about using some of the unassigned space in the newly leased City Hall building for library services! We are so excited about possibly bringing a rotation of items and some of our services further south, so more people can have library services closer to them! At this time, however, we do not have any details about the scope or size of the possible library satellite location. We do not anticipate this space being a true or permanent solution to the library’s need for space, but it will help! It was also in the news that the library is hiring two more full-time positions. This is true! This spring, we will have a full-time Outreach Services Coordinator so we can do more with our outreach programs. We are also hiring a Circulation Manager to help oversee our service desk operations. These positions are unrelated to the discussion of a satellite location. These roles will help our current programs and services be the best they can be, and will help us keep up with the current demand for service we have. While these people may be a part of the rotation of staff working at a second location someday, this is not why we are currently hiring them.
