A legend in the music industry gained his wings... Bruce Swedien’s musical achievements were impressive but what will always speak louder than his recordings is his warmth as a human being. We will miss him here on earth but he left behind a lot of great records for us to enjoy. Rest In Peace Bruce and thank you for all you have done. Our hearts are with his beloved wife Bea and the rest of his family during this difficult time.

Westlake Studios Welcomes You Back Safely!...
As our cities move into more relaxed safe at home guidelines and our communities slowly come out of isolation, we wanted to let you know that the studio will be booking sessions, as we have been given the green light by Mayor Garcetti.

We know this new phase will look different however we will stay true to the mission and values of Westlake as a community that creates together. We have always seen music as a bridge to community and a means of healing, now more than ever. We are excited to begin the process of welcoming you all back. Westlake has modified and updated our policies to be COVID-19 informed. Cleanliness will remain a top priority. We are diligently disinfecting all surfaces multiple times throughout the day and each studio will continue to be fully disinfected at the end of every session.

Social distancing will be implemented for all facilities. Whenever possible, we will use separate entrances, minimizing traffic in common areas. Please contact a booking manager for new information as it pertains to room capacity per studio. Our priority is to ensure we continue to provide our clients with the safest, most comfortable and most creative environment at Westlake as we all enter a new phase of working together.

Please know that Westlake will constantly monitor all safety regulations and adapt current policies as needed. We will continue to keep you informed. Please let us know if you have any questions and if you need studio time in the near future. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Until then, stay safe and keep creating!

Sanitize Your Hands - We set up sanitizing stations around the facility. Our clients have said that they appreciate all the extra effort our team is putting in to wipe down the studios, the gear and the common areas. Our goal is to provide the safest environment possible during this challenging time. A place they can come, temporarily shut-off the outside world and just create. We are all in this together.

We are proud to announce that Studio A is back online and already booked. The remodel came out better than expected and the studio sounds amazing! We want to thank all the contractors that shared their talents to help remodel this room. Can’t wait for you all to see and hear this legendary studio. More pictures to come.
