For those of you who didn't make it to the 2nd Annual Rockland Duck Derby here is a video for you. The pouring rain did not dampen the spirit of the ducks or the humans who attended. Thank you to all my non-profit colleagues, our sponsors, Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, the Clarkstown Rec. Dept staff, the West Nyack & New City Fire Departments, Abbey Ice & Water, the volunteers and everyone who purchased a duck. See you next year!
We are down to the wire. Less than two days till D-day (Derby Day). For all of you who said, "I have time to buy some ducks.", the time is now! So close to 4000 ducks sold. Help us get there.
The derby will only be cancelled if there is thunder and lightening. After all, ducks love the rain.
Go to rocklandduckderby.org to get your ducks.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to tag the ducks today! Much thanks to Abbey Ice & Spring Water Co for accepting delivery of the ducks, bringing them to Germonds Pool and getting them shipped to their next race. Thousands of ducks are waiting to jump into the pool & race to the finish line on 8/18 at 9:30AM.
Not much time left to purchase your ducks and have a chance to win cash prizes with the first place finisher getting a chance to win $1,000,000. You gotta be in it to win it. Go to rocklandduckderby.org to purchase your ducks or visit us at our table tomorrow between 9a-3p in front of Nyack Fresh Market.
On Thurs. Aug 15th we are hosting our last in-person tables where you can purchase duck entries. We will be in front of Nyack Fresh (on farmer's market day) from 8:30-3 followed by the Rockland Business Association BBQ at Patriot Lounge. (Make sure to sign up if you haven't done so.) If you can't buy your ducks in person, go to rocklandduckderby.org
Only six more days to purchase your duck entries. Ideally, we would like to get to 5000 ducks sold but first we need to get to 4000. You can make that happen by going to rocklandduckderby.org and purchasing your ducks. If you could then share this post with your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues, we could get to our goal.
Remember, you need not be present to win. We will call you if you are not there.
Thank you to everyone who got us past the 3000 mark. If we are going to make it to 5000 ducks racing then we need you to go to rocklandduckderby.org now and purchase your ducks today.
