A Helping Hand | Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County 47 years ago today, The CN Tower, up until 2007 the tallest freestanding structure in the world, opened its doors in my hometown of Toronto. About 1,800 feet tall, it was and is a truly imposing structure, and a testament to the capabilities of our civilization to reach for the sky. About 2-3 years....
Dear Friend,
As the season of sunshine and warmth has finally arrived, we’d like to let you know how RJFS has been meeting the increased needs of the Rockland community.
We have expanded therapy services for a growing number of young people as they face intense stress, we are delivering weekly meals to Holocaust survivors, and our food pantry provides supplemental food for over 200 families across the county. In addition, the agency is supporting many more families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease and social skills development.
Please help us continue this very important work.

Congratulations to Carol King, JCC Rockland and Center for Safety & Change on today's VASHTI'S BANQUET. Using the story of Vashti as a prism to teach about women having agency over their own lives, we all learned a great deal and also had some fun. Thank you to all who put their strength and energy into making this event so enriching!
Looking forward to this festive time together, acknowledging the bold women of history whose stories we know, or THINK we know!

Camp is a wonderful place to try something new in a supported environment. Several years ago we introduced our campers to fencing as a good physical activity and it has been a huge hit ever since! We learned the terminology, footwork positions and how to hold the sword.
