Alvin wants to give his fans and all those who rooted for him an update. Here he is posing with his best friend because they both love the couch. He is loving his back yard and reports he hasn't yet dug it up. He gets to enjoy his life with Smokey when Smokey isn't napping and his forever dad (who isn't in the picture). He is working on conquering stairs so he can go to the beach more often. He keeps telling Dad he wants to scope out the beach babes.

On Thursday, 11 April 2024, Greyhound Support Transport embarked on a new transport adventure…

From Greyhound Pets, Inc.
6 retired racing greyhounds were welcomed to the US from the UK by Greyhound Pets, Inc. This was a first for us! We love getting to know the boys – all black! They are delightful and fun!

Please join GPI in welcoming, Best, Copar, Dyno, Ginger, Prince, and Jack. Thank you to the folks at Bluehouse Kennels and Greyhound Support Transport for entrusting us with these wonderful boys. Thank you to the volunteers who helped us with the load arrival and are working with us to get to know them and ready them for adoption. We are busy accessing their personalities, cat testing, etc. The boys will be available for adoption soon.

Greyhound Support Transport is looking for PRO Racing adoption groups that are interested in teaming up with us to bring retired racers to the United States from England. If your group is interested, please contact Monica Smith at [email protected] or at (305) 753-1985.

Fun Fact Friday is brought to you today by Alvin who is also available for adoption. Did you know that Greyhounds can sleep with their eyes open making it appear they are awake? This is due to having a more prominent brow bridge. Have a Greyt Friday.

Alvin is looking for his forever Valentine. Alvin enjoys going to the beach to dig in the sand, doing zoomies in the yard, playing with other dogs his size, going on car rides, laying in the grass, and going for walks. Alvin hopes his forever Valentine has Greyhound experience, understands his personal space when sleeping, and will love all his shenanigans.

Good Morning Everyone, with the start of 2024 we are hoping to get a quick update from everyone who has adopted from us. Please feel free to give an update to Monica Rigo-Smith, Heather Smith, or Leslie Flanders-Balcerak or comment below. We appreciate those who send us pictures, updates on their pups, and sharing their Greyt adventures and trips. We have many individuals who follow specific Greyhounds and love to hear updates on them. We are always available if you have any questions about your Greyhound to prevent any possible returns. If we don't hear from you don't be surprised if we call you just to get an update and ask for some pictures 😍.

Please remember to keep your pet(s) safe tonight. Pets are easily startled by the loud noises of fireworks. We want everyone to ring in the New Year safe.
1. Double check your pet has identification on them and it's secure.
2. Ensure the microchip information is up to date with Home Again. Report any lost pet immediately.
3. Let your pet out early to use the bathroom or if they have a routine walk please walk earlier.
4. If they need to use the bathroom and there are fireworks please leash walk them. Do not leave them in the yard unattended.
5. Create a calming area they can retreat to.
6. Play white noise for them.
7. Use a soft and calming voice if they are anxious.
8. Give them distractions- treats, toys, etc.
9. Report any lost pet immediately.
10. Don't become upset with them if they are panting, pacing, or being vocal this is their way expressing fear.

We want to wish you a happy, healthy, and wonderful upcoming New Year. Cheers to 2024.
