At West Point, our cadets are presented with unparalleled opportunities to learn from history's heroes. One such momentous occasion occurred earlier this May when our cadets had the distinct privilege of sharing lunch with WWII veteran Matthew Yacovino. His firsthand accounts of valor and sacrifice provided invaluable lessons in courage and resilience to our future leaders.

As we commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we reflect on the profound impact of such experiences at West Point. These encounters not only honor the sacrifices of the past but also inspire a new generation of leaders dedicated to service and excellence.

Let us remember the bravery of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy and honor their legacy by continuing to uphold the values of duty, honor, and country that define West Point.

Lunch during SLE provides an opportunity to sit down with some of the Admissions Officers. CPT Westman (Great Lakes Regional Commander) and CPT Mendoza (Far West Regional Commander) talked about life at West Point and answered Candidate questions.

What an incredible event we had yesterday in Union, NJ!

The room was buzzing with energy thanks to the outstanding turnout – it was packed! The event, lead by Mr. Henry Schwartzstein, Mr. Vince Commisa and others from the New Jersey Field Force and Major Richard Simpson from West Point Admissions, included seven remarkable cadets: Benjamin Dubestky, Christian Dionisio, Andy Bae, Casey Cirne, Dylan Ferraro, Sean Kim, and McCaslin Miles.

It was truly inspiring to see so many eager candidates engaging with this knowledgeable group, asking insightful questions and gaining valuable insights into life at West Point.

A huge thank you to Kean University and everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a resounding success! We can't wait to see the bright futures that lie ahead for each and every one of you.

Big thanks to Marist College for orchestrating the Mid-Hudson Valley College Consortium's visit to West Point Military Academy! It was an honor to host 50 educators from across the country, some reuniting with the cadets they supported. A memorable blend of learning and connection set against the picturesque Hudson Valley backdrop.
