3.5 hours of wellness + nature connection at Walnut Woods State Park in WDM. We'll offer:

Join me and Brandy Case Haub of Intertwined Iowa the morning of June 14th, for a half-day Nature Wellness Retreat!

We will be offering a beautiful blend of activities and experiences to encourage stress relief, increase well-being, and connect to a more grounded & peaceful self.
This will be done through nature-immersion practices such as Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), invitations to mindfully explore & connect through sound & the senses, and various opportunities to decompress both in solitary moments & with the group as a whole.

As a mental health counselor who provides Reiki and Reiki-Infused therapy, here's some basic info for those asking "WHAT'S REIKI?"

Reiki comes from the Japanese words “rei” (universal) & “ki” (life energy). Reiki is a type of energy healing, and has been around for thousands of years.
Its most current form it was first developed in 1922 by Dr.Mikao Usui, in Japan.
The practice spread to the U.S. through Hawaii in the 1940s, & then to Europe in the 1980s.

​Reiki energy healing targets the energy fields around our bodies. Energy can stagnate where there has been physical injury or emotional pain.
In time, these energy blocks can cause illness & "dis-ease".

My client's and I find such power in how Reiki assists in our natural healing process.
WHY? Because it works in whatever way is needed for each individual.
It can create healing on all levels--emotional, mental & spiritual.

Reiki can promote YOUR body’s own healing mechanisms to function more effectively.
Reiki treatment can help lessen the impact of stress & release tension from our entire system.
Reiki is usually done by hovering over the body, and/or can incorporating light touch. All according to your preference.

I practice Reiki in a trauma-informed way, and make sure that all aspects of the the practice promotes a feeling of safety and healing for you. 🙏 Here's to healing to the highest good, and on all levels!
