I’ve had a love hate relationship with .protools for many years, usually preferring to write in other more limber programs… especially when using a lot of virtual instruments… I also hate AVID’s extortionate pricing schemes…but I gotta say, this current version of Pro Tools is rocking hard. One thing Avid does well is when they finally implement features, they do them the best and most intuitive way possible. It’s still not good enough on the virtual instrument side, but everything else is running great. AVID take note, you could be back on top if you lose the out of touch pricing schemes and properly optimize your software. Get on it, we love you … .-

I’ve been in an insane drum rabbit hole for the past month but I am actually making progress on some new music from my beautiful new room … .-

Sooo we “soundproofed” the studio, but unfortunately we didn’t soundproof the side door enough to not p**s off the neighbours with real drums 😭😭😭… so rather than go into more months of renos/construction… a morning delivery from has arrived… bout to get electronic beats up in here. Hopefully that appeases the neighbours enough to let me mic up the real kit from time to time 🤷‍♂️… .-
