Today was a great day. A hard working day. A feeling accomplished kind of day.

These guys worked hard on a beautiful morning, delivering this very long piece of steel to our kitchen project. Assisted us in bringing it into the house and putting it in place. Not an easy task. But with a great team, we got it done.

This angled bay window was the only thing we kept in this newly renovated kitchen. Add sconces above and continued our marble backsplash tile across the bottom. Ties in so nicely together 🥰

Alder.

A relative to birch. It is almost white when freshly cut, but quickly changes with exposure to air, becoming light brown with a yellow or reddish tinge.

Alder. A wood species we use often in kitchens and bathrooms. A array of stain options, with and without glazing.

Once a kitchen the homeowners didn't enjoy cooking in - NOW, it's a kitchen the homeowner's LOVE ❤ to cook in, entertain in and simply live in.

While the layout did not change 'drastically', the appliances, accessories and function DID. Tall ceilings allowed for 48" high wall cabinets, a beautiful wood hood and carrara marble countertops.

Built in 1893 (yes, you read that correctly!) this Victorian style home has been brought back to life all thanks to the new homeowners. Once a bed and breakfast, this single family home has 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

Old homes can be challenging to work in, as this one definitely was! However, the result is beyond amazing.

School vacation week - so took my boys and niece into Boston for lunch and a stroll…..

The Old South Church (this building completed in 1875) Is in a style known as northern Italian Ruskinian Gothic after the English architecture critic John Ruskin.

As you can imagine, a lot of beautiful design elements, including Roxbury puddingstone and different art forms and colors inside and out.







Across from the Boston public library which is another must see!
