St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Puppet Ministry put on the cutest show this afternoon. The message was “A smile can be the language anyone can learn to speak“ and that’s exactly what they did for our residents. 😁

The Civil War Herb Lady of Ohio (Valerie Hamill) shared the medicinal properties of herbs used during the war between the states during the 1860’s. And to top off this amazing program, we all made our own “tussie mussie” bouquet. Educational, engaging and definitely an aromatic afternoon.

Local Galena author Chris Underwood visits Feridean’s “Book Club”. We’re excited to dive into it. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

Blendon Woods tram ride and picnic for lunch bunch outing. Thank you for the Metropolitan parks for taking care of us. We beat the rain, loved our lunch from Subway, appreciated the wildlife and had an educated tour of how precious nature is. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Fun way to start off the summer with a party on the patio with drinks, watermelon popsicles and music from MASTER DELUXE…..one of our own residents grandchildren’s awesome band. Thanks Jane Jackson and Gale for recommending them. They were enjoyed by all. It’s official, hello summer!!!!!

The Feridean Book Club was special this month. They read “The Gown” and of course discussed the book but had more fun bringing in pictures of their wedding gown’s and sharing their stories. Each and every bride was so beautiful and still is.

“In the Kitchen with Dianne and Lori” Feridean program today was a great success thanks to our resident Mary and her delicious recipes: pineapple upside down cupcakes and bacon cheese ranch dip. A dash of love, a sprinkle of friendship and a cup full of laughter….perfect ingredients for a lovely afternoon.

What a magical total solar eclipse. We all enjoyed it on Feridean’s beautiful patio while sipping on LUNAR lemonade and snacking on MOON pies and SUN chips.

We were so proud of Genoa Middle School 7th graders who visited Feridean and educated us on the total solar eclipse this Monday 4/8/24. You all did a great job on your brochures and presentations. Thank you to the teachers who made this happen and to the residents who care enough to support our young minds. 🌕🌖🌗🌑🌒🌓🌔

Easter is almost here and we're more than prepared! The egg-citing activities have just begun, with colored eggs, fun games and mouthwatering food!

Our Irish eyes were smiling as our residents dined on an authentic Irish lunch, sipped on some leprechaun libations (thank you Chef Justin and staff) and took in an amazing Irish dance performance from the lovely ladies from The Academy Irish Dance Co. Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Having a fun filled afternoon making Easter baskets with our residents. We’ll be coloring eggs on March 25 to put in our colorful creations.

Lucky us, we got to share a birthday cake with our residents celebrating their special day this month!☘️🎂🎉

A warm and toasty lunch for a chilly day! Cream of Broccoli Soup, Grilled Ham and Cheese, Apple Cranberry Walnut Salad and a yummy Banana Chocolate Split Dessert 😋
