Hey Everyone,

My friend/colleague Dr Nimira is a specialist chiropractor in Agoura Hills. She has kept her practice open with strict guidelines for safety but is still seeing patients who need help functioning well during the safer at home order. If you or anyone you know is struggling to manage the stress of quarantine and experiencing chronic pain, headaches/migraines, and an aggravation of prior health issues please reach out to her for help.

During these stressful times, it can be very difficult to keep your mind positive and stop the negative thoughts. Here are some tips for keeping your mind sharp and dealing with the crisis.

1. If possible, try to get fresh air. You'll be amazed at what a quick walk can do for spirits. Avoid people and stay safe when doing it but don't lock yourself away entirely if at all possible. Please consult your doctor first though to ensure you're being safe.

2. Don't read too many new stories! Reading negative things greatly impacts our moods. Surround yourself with good news and positive things as well so you're not letting that pull you down.

3. Play games that engage your mind and body. It's important to stay active because a physically active body is a healthy body and that helps mental health. Play puzzle games that are stress relieving and also challenge you. It's important to stay mentally sharp.

4. Finally, get help when needed. A therapist is a wonderful thing to get out worries or frustrations and have a professional there to help you. Nino is specially trained to help teens and young adults who might be dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, and more.
