Bikes for South Asia. ONE bike - MANY lives transformed.

This coming Father’s Day, we are bringing back our Bike Drive for our partners in South Asia. The purchase of one bike at $150 helps propel our 2030 key outcomes of planting 1,000 churches in unreached villages.

Buyamaba Uganda is celebrating 25 years as a ministry and we are excited to celebrate with them and look forward to what God will do in the years to come. As a part of the weekend there will also be the opportunity to sponsor a child through Buyama Uganda and help transform the next generation of Uganda! We hope to see you this weekend!

goGlobal”(short-term) trips are a unique opportunity to serve in a different cultural context and encounter God in a very special way. In a sense, each trip is an “faith adventure” that will help you grow in your relationship with God, change your character, and reveal the fullness of God’s Kingdom and His work in this world. As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we remember that Jesus humbly came into this world so that everyone could receive healing from sin and gain access to a personal relationship with God. He loves everyone regardless of social status, nationality or place of residence. And we are passionate about introducing everyone to this joyful and amazing opportunity in every possible way. We want as many people as possible - here in Conejo Valley and around the world - to be able to experience God's love and grace.

We are very grateful to each of you for being part of this mission so sincerely and sacrificially. Thousands of people have been able to experience God's healing and saving work this year because of your generosity and practical involvement. Thank you to everyone who donated, who participated in OutREACH Tuesdays, other local ministries, and goGlobal short term trips this year. God is doing incredible things through you. Praise God and thank you. We are blessed to do God's work together.

$47,000 were donated for printing Bibles in Farsi so far. Such a wonderful opportunity - THANK YOU so much!!

It means we already can help with printing 6,266 Bibles, which will be gifted to people in Iran who have never read the Bible before. Our goal is 10,000 Bibles, so if you want to donate for this incredible cause - there is still need and an opportunity for this!

Come and hear DAVID YEGHNAZAR - Calvary partner and executive director of Elam Ministries as he will be preaching on both services tomorrow. His theme is "Blessed are those who are persecuted" and he exactly knows what he talks about.

David has served with Elam for over two decades and was appointed Executive Director in 2014. Born in Iran, David’s family has been serving the Iranian church for three generations. He co-wrote Iran 30, an informational prayer guide translated into seven languages. He is a national and international speaker and has appeared on Christian radio and television programs advocating for the persecuted church. He is based in the UK, where he resides with his wife, Louise, and their children.

You also will have an opportunity to participate in FARSI BIBLE DRIVE and help give the gift of God's Word to Iran. Our goal is to raise $75,000 and print 10,000 New Testaments ($7.50 per one New Testament) on Farsi. All of them will be distributed for free to people in Iran through our great partner - Elam Ministries. As you know Christian church in Iran is highly persecuted, so Bibles on their own language are very crucial. If God calls you to participate and donate to this very important cause - please come by this Sunday and learn more about this opportunity. And we will distribute free New Testaments on Farsi after both services, which you will be able to take and give to your Persian friend or neighbor.

UrbanPromise Los Angeles is hosting their 2nd Annual Hope for the Future Fundraising Event, and they invite you to be a part of this incredible event. What a wonderful day at the Volunteer Fair yesterday! Thank you all who came and expressed an interest in Mission and goGlobal Trips. It was great to see you, talk with you and get to know your better. Each connection was special and we enjoyed every conversation a lot!

Calvary member Graciela Alba Spence grew up in could arrange for other orphanages in the city to take the Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in a middle class family.

Like many young people in the USA or anywhere, she came to faith at a young age, and like many young people in the USA and elsewhere, as a young woman she was passionate about serving God and seeing justice done for society’s most vulnerable. She dreamed of starting a home for girls living on the streets, where they would be protected and cared for, to God’s glory. She imagined this home would be a testament to the Christian faith and show the Bolivian authorities how real God was and how the Christians in society make the world a better place.When she was 21, God answered her prayer—but not in the way that Graciela planned or expected...

When one journey ends another begins...

For many years Joan’s family attended Calvary. Her
children were involved in both high school and young adult ministries. In 2014, her husband was diagnosed with ALS and the struggle to attend church became too much. In 2015, Joan’s husband passed away. In the midst of this time of loss, Calvary’s care department reached out and offered to host his memorial.

As Joan reflects on that time, she says that in all her life she had never felt so loved and cared for as she did by the care team. It was then, even when feeling like she was in a fog, that she desired to give back. She started looking at all the serving opportunities Calvary had to offer. She had volunteered at SERVE Day but that was only once per year. Not sure where she would fit in, a friend recommended the Blanket & Sewing Ministry. Not long after, she fell in love with the ministry.
For years, the Blanket & Sewing Ministry has made dresses and shorts for God’s Care School in Uganda and a team takes the hand made items to Uganda to personally distribute them. Following the pandemic, it had been two years since a team was able to travel.

As the summer of 2023 approached, the thought of all those dresses and shorts sitting unused in a drawer started to unsettle Joan. Joan felt the Lord’s nudging and asked Chris Matsuura (Volunteer Leader for Blanket & Sewing Ministry) if she should be the one to take the garments to Uganda. To Joan’s surprise, Chris enthusiastically exclaimed, “YES!”...

Gabriel’s House began when an Oxnard city council member saw the love, acceptance, and provision extended to the homeless through The Kingdom Center Ventura. After a phone call to TKC Founder and CEO Sam Gallucci, the City of Oxnard invited The Kingdom Center to open a shelter for women and their children at the unique location where we now operate Gabriel’s House.

One of the requirements of participating in the Ruth's House ministry is that you return to the children's home where you grew up and give back with your gained expertise from work or school. Our dream as a ministry is to cultivate a long lasting cycle of girls who return to the home to not only give back, but also encourage the younger girls and show them that their future is hopeful. In this spirit, Helen returned to Talita Cumi along with classmates from her gastronomy course to prepare a breakfast and lunch for the girls.

We love to hear life changing stories from our partners around the world. This is just one little peace from the Ruth House, Bolivia, but behind this short story is incredible work of God, who not just heals broken hearts beautifully, but also changes lives and teaches all of us to give back and serve those who needs.
