Transitioning Through Change, PLLC
Walking with you on your grief journey. Sessions provided in-person or telehealth. Are you experiencing a loss due to death, disability, or life transition?
Perhaps you are grieving the childhood you never had. Grief and trauma can be messy, but you do not have to experience it alone. It takes courage to reach out and share personal aspects of yourself. I am both sad and glad you are here. Together we will work to help you co-exist with grief, move forward from past traumatic events, disolve negative self-defeating beliefs, and find hope, peace, and

It can be difficult with all of the expectations of society to feel as though we are somehow not enough, not achieving what we should be given our age and experience in life. I am here to say, slow down, focus on where you are now and what you can change to become who you want to be. The rest will fall into place in time.

Grieving multiple or compound losses is not easy, but with self-compassion, awareness, and a willingness to move with your grief, it can be done.
Grief waves can come out of nowhere and the reason for them can be quite unclear.

Learning answers about a loved one's death can create a mix of emotions. Relief, anguish, and so much more.
Many of us struggle to stay in the present, the right here and now. Many of us are on auto pilot. WHen is the last time you intentionally chose to be in the present? When is the last time you intentionally had fun just because?
Today is National Kids and Pets Day! Who was your first pet? What is a fond memory you have with them?

IT is not uncommon to grieve even for positive or necessary changes we need to make for our well-being.
Some times a challenging social media feature that reminds you of past things you posted can be positive.
The number of ways to express grief are endless. The key is to find what works for you.
Here with another episode of Wellness Wednesday.
Thank you to Blind Abilities and Robin Ennis
Grief can make us feel like we are on quite the rollercoaster of emotions.
Grief can bring a number of mental or cognitive challenges with it. You may feel as if you are "going crazy." You are not. It is grief.

What is your opinion on anger? How do you express it?
I talk often with my clients about anger. An emotion often thought of as unhealthy. It is just like any other emotion, a natural response to something that feels horribly unfair or unjust.
It is common to feel like we are not where we "should be" in life. I believe all of us have felt this or feel this way at some point. What matters is that we do not compare ourselves to others, but do what we can to keep ourselves moving forward.
Grief is not something we move on from, rather we move forward with. I recently revisited two examples of this. One a part of a book, and one a song.
Sometimes a line in a book or movie jumps out at us. This happened to me recently and to me, it was a good reminder.
Scent can create triggers or glimmers. Taste cand ot his as well, and sometimes it's not the food we crave, but the memory. Glimmers can be extremely comforting.
Emotional self-care is not just about how we talk to ourselves, it is also about how we express emotions, and learning how to name our emotions.
It can be so difficult to be kind to ourselves, but with awareness and practice, we can become kinder.
This time of year brings reflection, introspection, and exploration of where to go from here.
I cohost a podcast called Wellness Wednesdays with a colleague, Robin Ennis. Thanks to the Blind Abilities team for making this possible and editing and hosting!!
