ETM-534: The Immigrant Experience, where you will examine the experiences of past & recent immigrant groups in the United States & factors that impact success of immigrant and US-born English Language Learners.
ETM-501: Foundations of Social Justice Teaching, which is designed to challenge candidates to reflect on their individual beliefs in relationship to social justice teaching & gain a deeper understanding of historical struggles for equity in education.
Both courses start May 20th, are 8 weeks long, and are 100% online. Not to mention, Carroll County Public School teachers get direct billing!

Last week, Dean Vickie Mazer and Interim Assistant Dean Steve Johnson surprised Melissa Couillard to announce her as the 2024 Joseph R. Bailer Award winner.
Mrs. Couillard is the first winner in the near 40-year history of the award to have graduated from our MS in Elementary Education program with a specialization in Elementary Math Instructional Leadership. She currently serves as Elementary Mathematics Resource Teacher for Carroll County Public Schools.
The Bailer Award was established in memory of Dr. Joseph R. Bailer, chair of the Education Department from 1949-1971. Each year, the award is granted to a former masterβs program graduate who has made a significant contribution to the field of education.
