Do any of my rescue friends have bulk antibiotics they can share? I fostered a cat a bit back who had an upper respiratory infection and of course it spread. I've been fighting it one at a time with the antibiotic I had but now I'm out and have no way to get any more. I can afford a vet visit much less for 10 or 12. I honestly don't know what to do. Plus I can't send any to new homes sick so I'm freaking stuck. On top of the fact that I can't even afford human food.

Minimum weight to spay or neuter? 2lbs! Some vets make you wait until 3lbs some get pregnant as early as 4 months so don't risk it! And don't try to convince me the vet won't do it yet because I promise I've spayed more kittens than 99% of people (unless there is a major medical reason they will)

OK piggy back off my early post ...reason #889,649 that i am quitting foster. Mid-October i wanna say the 19th or 20th (I'd have to look back) I was asked to take 4 newborn (probably premature) kittens. Now yes I had said due to money and a boat load of other reasons that I wasnt taking anymore (for a long time, if ever). But the rescue that asked me to take them offers to "make a donation to their care" so I'm thinking ok I can at least put that money aside to get them fixed and shots. Well they offered to send me a check via "the person who handles funds" and I had formula left over from the last litter so I said ok..... (Yes I'm stupid) anyway that being said I assumed they would at least cover vetting.
So let's look at a bit of the broken down cost of providing for 4 kittens until 12weeks (that's given you can get an appointment at exactly 12 weeks and they go home the next day which never happens) anyways.....
A bucket of fox valley formula should (under perfect conditions) get a litter of 4 through to 6 weeks $129.95 +tax
Litter for 4 from 5 weeks to 12 weeks changing just that 1 litter box (for them alone ) at least 3 times per week, the cheapest litter I've found is like $10 something per box so 2 boxes a week for 7 weeks $140+ tax
Kitten food once they start eating approx 2 cans per feed 3× day for slurry for a week 42 cans 12 cans is $11 so approx $40+tax
Then once it's just soft food it's 4 cans 3 times a day . 84 cans per week for 6 weeks so 504 cans of kitten food. Those come in boxes of 12. That's 42 boxes at $11 per box so $462+tax
Not counting in the kibble we keep available always. You also have to think about if they get sick. Most kittens get upper respiratory infection or conjunctivitis at least once during that time ... add in cost of antibiotics, terramycin alone is like $25 per tube per kitten. It also doesn't count the cost of providing heat and water. Or Baby wipes! It doesnt count the cost of washing kitten blankets at the laundry mat because I can't afford a washing machine. It doesn't count the cleaners and sanitizer to keep everyone's space tidy and safe. All this BEFORE the cost of shots and spay or neuter surgery. Of course that will depend upon the vet you have and the location but we aren't even adding those costs in. We know they are part of it but that's aside the point. I say all this to say ....the check I got in the mail ....the one supposed to be for those kittens ....$45 .....yep that's right. I better be magic for that to work. So yes I'm sorry but these will be my last kittens for a good minute. We gotta get back on our feet and I'd love to leave Tennessee completely (not just move again) before I ever even think about fostering again. That being said meet the newest/ and last babies

These guys are looking for homes ! They are spayed or neutered and fully vetted (I can provide paperwork) they would prefer to go in pairs but it's ok if they don't. We are desperate to find them homes as we've hit hard times and must stop the 615 kitten lady page. I will do my best to make sure all the kitties here are fully vetted and adopted before I totally stop but right now I'm feeding my kids and myself from blessing boxes and with very very few supporters here (very grateful to all who have been) I can't continue to do this. I've been through hell in the past 2.5 years but I continued... unfortunately now its a money thing. I just can't afford to keep it up. As most of you know we have a few (7) cats outside here who refuse to come in ....yes I've tried to get them to but it always turns into a cat fight because they don't like being near each other or something. I've made them a few times when Temps were sub zero and it just wasn't a good day. Now that being said yall know I have to do what I can to protect them anyways so.... This is the bull s**t I deal with.... remember the woman who wanted me to bring kittens 2 hours? Well now she's saying I don't vet my animals because a 8 week old cant be spayed..... we use a case (24 cans) of kitten food per day not counting kibble, litter, formula, frontline, pyrantel and vet meds when needed .....and asking $50 in food (not even money) is to much ? That's 2 boxes of kitten cans aka 2 days worth of food..... knowing these kittens would die without me keeps me from offing myself daily "I just have to make it 2 more hours to the next bottle " has been the only way I've lived for years now ....so when I'm not longer around blame people like this.

Well someone connected to my stalker found me on tiktok. Since we've move 3 times to prevent this and protect our children it's apparent I can no longer have social media at all once these kittens are gone I probably won't be doing this anymore. I've blocked them in every way possible and somehow they keep coming back.

I know I said no more but ......say hello to the new babies! According to the finder they had been without mom for 4 days! How they were still alive I don't know. They were peeing brown drops ! Even after 12 hours (6 feedings) they were peeing highlighter yellow! So they needed help. Luckily I had a container of formula on hand because I'm broke! We honestly can't afford to feed the ones we have (now 38 total) as Austin is changing jobs after 15 years. If you can send some kitty mail our way we are in desperate need! Please pray for us in this time of transition. We appreciate every one of you and every dollar and share to help us. Also looking for name theme ideas for these kiddos.

When you get recognized because of your Walmart cart contents lol. Not even 2 days worth of kitten food! Average > $40 per day plus tax just to feed them not counting litter or anything else! We open 12 kitten cans 3 times a day😳😱 yes 36 cans per day to feed tiny mouths! Plus kibble! Wonder why I'm always broke? Can anyone help out? We desperately need supplies! Currently buying everything out of our own pocket! We are on our last box of litter! Can you send even 1 item? Can you add $1 or 2 to our wishlist? "Litter"ally anything helps (hehe see what I did there?) I know we ask alot but we can continue with no help. I don't want this to have to be my last group of kittens but I also can self fund in this amount. Did I take on to many at one time? YEAH! I DID! But what the alternative? Death? Unfortunately I'm currently having to turn kittens down daily because I'm up to my elbows with no adoption interests. The people who are interested aren't interested in giving a rehoming fee for them. I really do hope to keep doing this. I'm the only person in our area who takes kittens and I know what it means if I stop but I also need help to keep going.

Iso old towels and small blankets

OK to start......Can you say oh my goodness!? Look at some of the cuteness that goes down around here, or when I'm at work and open the zip bassinet to all those tiny faces...... everyone wonders why I do what I do? Why I deal with all the messes and my house alwaysssss smelling awful? This is why! Knowing they would have all died if not for being here. 35 lives in my hands currently ..... ok 37 if you count my human kids....wait the 2 dogs and our chickens too.... nevermind not the point ... this was about kittens lol.
