Came across an article the other day that caught my eye. The topic was "The #1 Habit You Should Have to Lose Weight". So of course I was curious to see what is was. Aren't we all? 😉

I really wasn't surprised by the answer. Of course, people may have different responses but I agreed with this ONE...
(Drum roll 🥁)

It went on to say that permanent lifestyle changes happen in relationships. New habits happen when people get together and help each other out! 🙌

I experience this on a daily basis with my virtual support group of amazing ladies! We create a "community of consistency" so that we show up every day with support and accountability. Shout out to my awesome peeps!! 🥇
When I found others like me, who were struggling yet striving, I knew that it was the place for me to be.

So if you're in my group, you will see my smiling 😊 or sweaty 😅or breathless 😜or wiped out face 😳BUT you will see it EVERYDAY 👍 because I believe CONSISTENCY is KEY and surrounding yourself with others is a great HABIT to possess!

OPERATION “Get back on track and improve gut health” has begun! 👊
Yup, am committing to this 4 week program again as I know it WORKS!

I was just feeling that I needed a reboot. This past year has taken a toll. Between the remodel, total clean out of 2 homes, selling our home of 30 years, moving, settling into our new home and having another grandchild…it’s been quite a year 🤪 Stress can take a toll on the body and mind…

Taking control of nutrition can make all the difference. Grateful that this program has helped me before and I know, will be just what I need now. It also includes a no impact, 30 min workout, 4 days a week to add in movement which is key.

Sure it calls for eliminating somethings, temporarily…bye bye 🍷🍹🍞🍫 for a month but does it look like I’m starving?!
It’s all about adding in all the good food to nourish the body so it can lose the bloat, drop weight, feel less tired, improve sleep and mood and balance the gut.

Today's date kept ringing a bell for some reason. Leave it to Facebook to remind me. It was 1️⃣3️⃣ years ago today that I started P90X, my “workout in a box”, hoping that it could be the answer to help me lose weight and reshape my body 🤔

Little did I know that it would be a life altering decision. At the time, I never imagined that committing to that program and drinking Shakeology "for 3 months" would change the path of my life. 1️⃣3️⃣ years later and still "BRINGING IT" and "SHAKING IT" everyday!! 🙅‍♀️

Sometimes, I think making the decision to start and then really committing is the tough part. Once you do, and stay CONSISTENT…the results come and the positive changes happen. Like I always say "Change is good!" 🙌

Anyone else ready to dial things in after the Summer? 🙋‍♀️
I know I AM and gearing up to commit to a program that’s worked before! Does anyone remember when I did this 4 week gut health plan back in 2022? 👇

I was looking for something that would help me break through a stubborn plateau. It was during a stressful time and figured that was messing with my body. Mom was starting to decline and knew she needed me but I committed anyway and trusted the process.

"NO, I'm good, I don't want anything to do with that!".....That was what I told my friend Kristine when she asked if I wanted to be a BODi partner… not just her partner in crime lol 🚫 🤷‍♀️

You could say “we are PUMPED UP!” Is it possible to be in love with a workout program after only a few days?! 🤷‍♀️
In the case of this new one, we am going to say a resounding YES! 🙆‍♀️

Ed and I are both so impressed with how well thought out this program is. Our trainer is one of the best in the fitness world, with a background in exercise science, who trains pro athletes and NBA players and lets us feel like we are personally being trained by him…. in our basement!

I honestly cant believe the amount of education, instruction and knowledge he shares about our bodies and how we can improve the way we move.

My mentor said something this week that struck me...If I love being a partner with BODi and it has enriched my life so much, why don't I share it with more people? Why do I keep this amazing opportunity to myself when so many others may want to join us too? He actually said "I was being SELFISH by not sharing about it!" Yikes, that was tough to hear but so true so here goes....

Little did I know, back 13 years ago, what started out as Ed and I trying to lose weight, get in better shape and just overall healthier, would actually turn into wonderful opportunities 🤗

Just wanted to share a food prep hack. Ever buy strawberries and they spoil quickly? 💁‍♀️
I started putting them in a canning jar as soon as I get home from the market. They stay fresh and last so much longer then in the plastic container.

Im often asked why I drink Shakeology. It’s been my daily snack for 13 years 🤗This is WHY!

I read the following post from a certified nutritionist about this superfood smoothie and had to share. To all my friends who are drinking it….you’ll love this and will feel great that you are drinking it 😉 To those that are not drinking it, you might want to reconsider ☺
....”Shakeology is NOT a protein shake. Nor is it a weight loss shake. It is a %100 natural (Macro and micro) nutrient dense meal replacement. It is not a one-dimensional protein shake. Read an article today that pointed out that 70% of people that start a new program or NY resolution quit within the first few weeks 😳 I don't like to hear that!

Ed and I are sticking to it because it’s that important! We renew our health commitment after the holidays as many others and do our best to make it happen. 👍 Sometimes together, Sometimes alone, in a cold basement...doesn’t matter...we just get it done ✅ Now more than ever, it’s that crucial!

As much as I enjoyed those ones, I have to say his brand NEW program is the funnest one yet! 💯

I get so FIRED UP when I see change! 💥
For the past 10 years of my health journey, I have been inspired to “be better than yesterday” by watching others...like these rockstars...show up daily! It motivated me to realize the possibility! 💪

Before, I was a busy Mom and RN, struggling with being overweight, unhappy and frustrated as my efforts then weren’t producing the results I wanted 😖
Committing to an at-home program and dialing into my virtual positive community made all the difference! I “changed for good” which inspired me to pay it forward and help others! 🙌

So I share what works for me, along with these amazing ladies, all passionate in the fact, it can help even more! If my posts and videos don’t motivate....then keep scrolling! No worries! 🤷‍♀️

There’s something about feeling victorious when you reach a goal, no matter what it is....right?! 🙌
Truth is, the sweet smell of success will only be short lived as the end of one goal just means it’s Day 1 of the next! 👍

I think I’ve lost count on how many fitness programs I’ve finished over the past 10+ years but there is that sense of accomplishment to check off another one ✅

I often get asked how I seem to stay consistent with my workouts. I learned years ago that I needed 3 things...

⭐️ An interesting, challenging and fun workout that would make me want to show up to push play

⭐️ A schedule to follow so I knew everyday, what was coming next. I’m a “check off the task on my list” kind of gal so if it is on the schedule, I have to find the time in my day to get it done👍

⭐️ A community of like minded ladies who are going through the paces with me. Girl’s that are going to make sure I stay accountable and show me the love when I do...and who I can lift up too! 😍
This is the most important factor, the missing link, for many. I always tell my group members, “We may be working out, at home by ourselves BUT we are NOT ALONE! 💥👭💥

So, who knows what number program I started today....doesn’t matter 🤷‍♀️ The key is to have a plan to insure that the journey doesn’t end!

Some memories pop up that just bring on the heavy sigh 😌

So hard to believe this is only one year ago. We wanted Dad to stay with us so he wouldn’t be alone as Covid lockdowns started. We could never imagine what was to come 😔

Looking back, asking Dad to stay with us, turned into a precious gift, an absolute blessing, that I am so thankful for.
Aside from not being able to see Mom...he was happy....

That thought brings me comfort...even through tears 😢 Miss you so much Dad ❤️

Here’s a two-fer✌️Check out this killer shoulder move that had my shoulders burning 🔥 and listen to the motivational message along with it 💣

Ironically, it was a similar message I was conveying in my post yesterday, right before pushing play on this baby 😱 My trainer must be getting into my head....which is a good thing 👍 Notice my focus 😳😆 Makes sense doesn’t it? Maybe it will speak to you too 💥

So grab some light weights (I used 8’s) and give it a try. Each combo move counts as one rep. Do 2 rounds of 10 reps with a 60 sec break in between 💪

💥 Another program is in the books 🙌
Sure, it’s time to celebrate a sense of accomplishment but also to measure progress 📸

Do you see changes? 🤷‍♀️ On the outside, they may be subtle but I’ll tell you, on the inside, I feel stronger, leaner and more “in control”...and that was the whole point of this 9 week program.

So much is “out of our control” nowadays that the only thing we can take hold of is our reactions to this situation. Add on the cold winter season and I know it’s a challenging time. It’s so easy to fall into bad habits and make poor choices. I get it!!! 🙋‍♀️

Believe me...I wasn’t perfect over these past 9 weeks, but being part of an amazing group of ladies, who showed up 5 days a week...for 30 min a day...helped me stay on track and make NO excuses 👭 Thank you fellow CONTROL FREAKS! 😍

So what’s next? 3 weeks of another program from my vast library and then another! 👊 My journey never ends because my goals won’t allow STOPPING! Too much is at stake!

Our health should be our priority! If this past year has taught us anything, we have to take control... to be the best we can be 💪
