Each year, we permanently change the lives of 3,000 men, women, and children by finding them stable housing, food, income, and other support systems to allow them to maintain an improved quality of life. A huge thank you to the STEM Alliance for partnering with us to offer computer classes at Community Central and Job Central! 💻✨
These ongoing classes, available in both English and Spanish, teach participants essential, basic computer skills. To help bridge the digital divide, each participant also receives a Chromebook to stay connected. 📱🌟

Our Open Arms Men's Shelter hosted a fantastic end-of-summer BBQ, bringing together shelter residents and local agencies to connect and share valuable resources.
With games 🎯, music 🎶, raffles 🎟️, and plenty of food 🍔, it was a day full of fun and meaningful connections. LUW staff also joined in, helping to make it an impactful event for everyone. A beautiful day, great company, and the perfect way to close out the summer! ☀️🍂

Our Story
Lifting Up Westchester is a 501(c)(3) social services agency whose mission is to restore hope to Westchester County's men, women and children in need by providing them with food, shelter and support – lifting them to greater self-sufficiency with dignity and respect. LUW is one of the largest social services agencies in Westchester County and its programs are open to any needy individual or family seeking assistance.
No one is turned away.
Every year, Lifting Up Westchester (LUW) assists 3,500 men, women and children, serves 100,000 free meals to the hungry and provides 26,000 nights of shelter to the homeless through the following programs.
