Hi all. We're about to launch an Appalshop Archive website where people can search our database, and want to have a Youth Bored digital collection on there. If you have anything to contribute, please send digital files--best is at least 300dpi scan of any memorabilia (photos okay too if you can't scan). Include the date or year and as much as you'd like to say about the item and event. You'll be credited as the donor (unless you don't want to be). You can upload here or send to [email protected]
Would also love to have any zines or artwork made through Youth Bored. If you want to lend or donate physical copies, let me know via email. At some point we'll be accepting video/audio but right now looking just for related items.
(thanks Mikie Burke for getting this page rolling)

The old Boone motor building wasn't the only place for killer shows. Summit City has also played a big roll in music in the area, always letting us book shows last minute and allowing us to creatively express ourselves. This venue closing will impact all local artist in someway, but we will always have the memories...
We will be posting show poster and some video this week to honor our local watering hole..
This killer show was in the spring of 2009.
Need help transferring old show tapes? send us a message we'd love to bring them to life.
Enjoy this ditty from the past.

This page is being launched to connect alumni of Youthbored and bring together documentation of the music and arts movement that began in eastern Kentucky in the late 1990s. Our goal is to collect digital and physical materials in order to preserve the movement and make it accessible to future generations of researchers, musicians, artists, and anyone interested in the history of the hardcore scene in EKY.
If you have materials to share, please post them here. If you are interested in making a donation of the physical or digital materials to Appalshop, please check out our About page.
