Dr. Robb Russell and Dr. Anupama Kizhakkeveettil (Anu) attended this year’s 2023 Shanghai Forum for the World Traditional Medicine Conference. 🌐

This conference included the announcement of the book, “History, Present and Prospect of World Traditional Medicine” that seeks to review and summarize the history, current state, and future potential of mainstream traditional medicine worldwide, as well as promoting the integration of traditional and conventional medicine, serving as a valuable reference for policymakers, academic institutions, and stakeholders which Dr. Russell and Dr. Anu are both co-authors!📖👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Both Dr. Russel and Dr. Anu presented “The Chiropractic profession on the world stage: Growth and Challenges” and “The role of Ayurvedic Medicine in emerging Integrative Healthcare” all of which discussed the expansion of chiropractic and Ayurvedic medicine outside of the US 🇺🇸 (and Canadian 🇨🇦) origins, the opening of chiropractic and Ayurvedic colleges around the world 🗺️ and the role of chiropractic in caring for athletes as a unique factor in its global growth, including its recent inclusion with Chinese Olympic and elite athletes.

The intent of this conference is to continue work by Chinese authorities, and several others from around the world to define standards of care and practice, so that they might be adopted more holy and close to what is practiced in China.

It’s a powerful tool that enhances the patient’s experience. 🤝🫶

This past weekend SCU’s student club, Healing Hands for Humanity (H3) treated 158 chiropractic patients, 107 acupuncture patients and well over 20 patients for Ayurvedic Medicine at this year’s Anaheim Health Fair.
SCU Health’s clinicians Dr. Hwang, Dr. Lee, Dr. Prasad (acupuncture), Dr. Anu, Dr. Singh (Ayurveda) and Dr. Melka (chiropractic) all supervised our students in this busy and educational health fair.

What an amazing way to provide free services to the public and educate them on the importance of integrative medicine to help provide relief, foster your body’s natural healing ability and re-establish harmony to establish greater happiness, health, and balance. 💛🧡
