Little story from this week in Colorado!

So while Mercede Dreiling and I were hiking the incline we were chatty with a few different groups and this group we kept passing then they would pass us etc. during convo we learned they were from North Carolina very sweet couple and their 18 year old daughter. Well as we get to the top there’s a bachelorette party hiking it and the bride is the last one so we are cheering her on and I said something about we were “All about weddings heck that’s the main reason we were in Colorado”. The couple from NC heard that and came over and was like “Wait what about weddings we just got engaged a few days ago at Garden of the Gods”.

So we explained we travel and do wedding hair and makeup and photography. The future bride joked about having us just come to them for the wedding and that would complete the story of their engagement and wedding…so we said we could do that for the right price and set up! Mercede whips out our cards and it was left up to fate on if they actually wanted to book because we were silly and didn’t get their info for follow up! 🙃

Welp last night I got this message on insta!!! Fate is talking and I might be going to Florida for a wedding in December! 😍😍😍

We are unpacking tomorrow and getting situated at our new space and I can’t wait! 🥹 these first 6 months of being a salon owner have been shy of well…not great…I could say so many lessons have been learned and that would be a massive understatement! 😅 I can’t wait to make ✨2800 E Douglas✨ our new home and finally have peace in my space again! Sometimes simply being in the wrong building really does take a toll on a business no matter if it’s just the four walls itself or the other factors in the space when you know a change is needed you definitely know. I’m once again thankful for my team (although small we are mighty) family, friends and clients who continue to show endless amounts of support and love and believe in me every step of the way!

If you are coming downtown this weekend especially in the St Francis, Emporia, 1st, 2nd and Douglas area BE PATIENT with parking and give yourself time! With Elsewhere Fest things are a little wild! 😜🩷 clients this is your heads up parking is tough when with the fest not starting till around 3 both days!

Quartz + Co. Salon is getting a new home July 1st and WE CAN NOT WAIT! 💃🏻 🕺🏻

This journey has not been what I expected it to be since the closing of Urban but thanks to some amazing support not only from my girls Lindsay Ball and Serinity Cantu but our amazing clients, friends and family we finally found us a home that is ALLLLL ours no more shared space! 🥲☺️

Exact location will be revealed as we get closer to opening! Also be prepared for an EPIC open house this fall and trust me you will NOT want to miss it! We have big plans up our sleeve since we didn’t get to have one at our current space like we hoped! 😉
