KSHA is excited to be hosting Dr. Katie Strong who will be sharing her expertise on how SLPs can support mental health in people with aphasia. Dr. Strong’s work was recently featured in a special edition of a SIG 2 continuing education opportunity, along with an article that she co-authored with KSHA member Erin O’Bryan.

Volunteers needed for CSD student research study!

Research Topic/Purpose of the study: To determine Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) students’ perspectives on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Procedures: Participants will complete an anonymous Qualtrics survey regarding their demographics and opinions.
Time: Participation is expected to last about 10 minutes.
Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:
● Participants must be undergraduate or graduate SLP, AuD, or PhD
students in one of the four CSD programs in Kansas (FHSU, K-State,
KU, WSU).
● Participants must be age 18 and older.
