Today our daughter, Isabella turns 14. She is a freshmen at Kapaun and so we have 4 more years to embarrass her but I don’t think we can. She has been a straight A student her whole life, she is kind, caring, considerate and even does the laundry at home. She just made the tennis team and is pretty good considering she hasn’t played for long. Happy birthday to our beautiful little lady!

From Friday August 16th through the Sunday August 18th, we will be celebrating our 5th year anniversary with pre-Covid pricing. $9.99 Regular bowls and $11.99 Large bowls for specialty bowls and $2 Dole Whipped pineapple soft serve for in store and drive thru orders.

We didn’t get a chance to celebrate our 5th year Anniversary on August 6th because we were preparing the Westside location for inspection but we hope to see you this weekend August 16-18. This weekend we will be celebrating not only our 5th year Anniversary but back to school with pre-Covid pricing and we will be previewing some of the new menu items in our Sharky’s Island food truck. It’s almost been 5 years since we opened Crafted and so much has changed in that timeframe. We survived through one of the worst pandemics, the insane supply chain issues, toilet paper shortage of 2020, social distancing and crazy inflation. We have seen 145 new coffee shops, 55 car washes and 79 chicken restaurants open (don’t quote me on those numbers I went with the lower numbers) and yet we have no idea why someone won’t open an all inclusive chicken/coffee/carwash and serve all you can drink mimosas! All kidding aside, we love our hometown and everyone who has supported us over the years. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

In October 2023, I got Covid for the 5th time and was incredibly sick. While I was recovering in my room I started watching shows from the 90’s that I grew up with. It gave me a vision of what the next project would be and so I started slowly coming up with a plan. Lots of long days and nights but watching this come together is far beyond my imagination.

We are working on different flavor profiles for our delicious snow cones. Would you ever get a Carmel macchiato snow cone?

Getting closer to opening our new Westside location soon. We will still be offering our delicious 🤤 poke bowls but will be offering a little something for everyone. As we get closer to opening, we will slowly unveil our amazing new menu and push the limits of what Guy Fieri calls “Flavortown”. 😂

Just wanted to give you guys an update. We incurred a few minor setbacks but are looking to open the doors pretty soon (about a month for soft opening). We are currently working on finalizing our menu at Sharky’s Island Bites and thought it was fitting since Wichita By E.B.was doing the best burger in town to show off one of the iterations of our Shaka 🤙🏼 burger. You heard right, we will have burgers, fries while still offering our delicious poke bowls that we serve Crafted Wichita. You’ll find a few other tasty surprises on the menu as well. Congratulations to my cousin’s daughter, Trinity Oblinger. She not only won 1st place in state for the 100m dash but she’s also the state champion for power lifting. What an inspiration young girls out there!

We had an opportunity to come out to Cargill to celebrate Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month for lunch with some of the best locally owned Asian restaurants and businesses in town. Kobes Japanese Steakhouse, Wasabi Wichita, Coffee Daze, Kabas and Luminous Star sharing their delicious Filipino dishes. We had such a great time and hope that anyone seeing this post go check these guys out!

On Saturday May 18th, we will be one of the host of many vendors at the Wichita Asian Night Market. We have decided to showcase items that we will be serving at both Sharky’s Island Bites on 21st and Tyler and new items we will be adding to Crafted Wichita including our Sharky’s Bite snow cones, Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Carmel macchiato snow cones. We love you all and hope to see you tomorrow!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mom’s out there! You have the toughest jobs of all and no matter whether you are a young mom or an old retired mom, your job never ends.
