WSC!! We are excited to kick off our season on September 21st with our Annual Red/Black Intrasquad meet!! Next week (Sept. 16-21) will be Wichita Swim Club spirit week and we are excited to see our athletes show their WSC pride! The Red and Black teams will be announced next Tuesday so make sure to get signed up on the team website!

The coaching staff is excited to have everyone back at practice!

There will be NO LAP SWIMMING August 5 - 12th for facility/pool maintenance. We appreciate your understanding.

WSC Team Tryouts will be Tuesday August 20 from 5 - 7 pm. Current WSC swimmers do not need to attend.

2024 Region VIII Summer Sectionals in the books! Our WSC athletes had quite the week in Columbia! We had some fun relays, awesome finals swims, and overall a great time together. Always fun to represent WSC on the regional stage! Another top 10 finish is always great to see!👊🏽
Don’t worry, the summer isn’t over yet! WSC is hosting Missouri Valley Districts next weekend and we are so excited to have the LSC at the Garvey Aquatic Center! MoVal Champs the following weekend!!
Zach Rife, Gigi Wilhite, Nathan Lynch, and Kiersten Elliott will be representing WSC at Futures in Austin Texas and Aleca Howard and Mari Griffin will be repping at summer Junior nationals in Irvine California!

2024 Region VIII Summer Sectionals is off to a great start! WSC is having fun in Columbia and swimming fast! Yesterday Nathan Lynch won the B final got his first Futures cut in the 200 brst (2:25.56!) The boys finished 3rd in the 800 free relay! Plus Mari and Aleca had A final swims in the 200 bk and 200 brst! Let’s keep the momentum rolling throughout finals tonight and the rest of the weekend!

67th Air Cap in the books! What a weekend. Thank you to everyone who came and supported our meet! We hope that you all had a wonderful time in Wichita! WSC made some great memories this weekend and the coaching staff is ready to push forward towards our championship meets in July! What a fantastic first day of the 67th Annual Air Cap meet!! WSC started off hot with tons of WSC athletes in finals and some STELLAR swims! Tons of new MoVal Championship cuts plus many more to share!
Aleca Howard and Zach Rife clocked Futures cuts in the 200 Free and Zach got his 100 back cut. Huge swim for Mari Griffin as she snagged her first Summer Junior Nationals cut in the 100 Back!! Way to go WSC! 😎🔥

WSC had a blast down in Edmond this past weekend at the AESC Summer Splash! Our athletes swam great and ran a wonderful meet! We had lots of best times and new districts/champs cuts!! Way to go WSC! We also were able to watch 2022 WSC alum Drayden Bell make his U.S Olympic Trials cut in the 50 free!! Everyone at WSC is so proud of you Dray!

WSC finished off Spring Sectionals yesterday in Columbia! We had 20 athletes representing Wichita Swim Club over the week and they all had some fantastic swims! The coaching staff is so proud of our athletes who competed. Yet another awesome weekend at the Mizzou Aquatic Center comes to a close!

More fun at Region VIII speedo sectionals!! Last day today, let’s have some fun and finish off the meet!

WSC is having a great time this week in Columbia at the Region VIII Spring Sectional meet! We have had a packed first three days that has seen some awesome performances! Eric and Kiersten earned new Futures cuts in the 200 and 100 brst respectively and Aleca snagged a podium finish in the 400 IM! Sophia also swam in her first sectionals A final tonight in the 200 fly! We have had some great relays and our athletes are doing such a great job of supporting one another! Last day fast day tomorrow! Let’s finish off this meet!!

This past weekend in Topeka Wichita Swim Club competed at the Missouri Valley 14&U short course championships!! We had 66 athletes competing at the meet and WSC finished in 2nd place overall! Our men finished in 1st overall and the ladies were 2nd!! The 10&U boys and our 11-12 girls were named MoVal champs in their respective age groups! We had 29 new champs cuts, 5 new zones cuts, and Lana Aronis earned 2 P3 zones cuts as well! We saw a new 11-12 boys relay record and TONS of podium performances. This was a year in the making, and the coaching staff cannot begin to express just how proud we are of these athletes for their leadership, commitment (to the sport and each other, as a team), performance and team sprit. We are already looking forward to Long Course! Congratulations to everyone!
