We will be ordering Christmas cactus within the next week. Normally we just get 6" pots of them but we can get 4" pots also. If you are interested in 4" pots of Christmas cactus, please comment on this post by Monday. We do not know the pricing on them yet but should know that next week also. We know the calendar says it is October, but we are already thinking and seeing Christmas Poinsettias in our greenhouse. We carry a wide variety of colors and sizes that will fit whatever needs you may have. We deliver, which means no one has to go out and pick them up in the cold weather and risk them being windblown or getting too cold. If you work with a church and help decide where you get your poinsettias from, we would love for you to consider Dutch's Greenhouse.

We are the premier and LOCAL grower in south central Kansas and we grow our poinsettias instead of shipping them in from suppliers in other areas so we control the quality of plants that people have come to expect from us. We would be happy to email you a copy of our price list for churches. Just send us a message with the church name and address or email and we will get it out to you.

Also, you may be looking for larger green plants for your worship space or entryways and we have a great variety of houseplants for you to choose from. Just come by and see us or give us a call at 524-6666.

Just a reminder to bring in those houseplants and tropicals tonight due to the freeze warning for our area. If you have some annuals that you want to hopefully survive overnight, cover them with a bed sheet or something made of light material. This will give them a chance to survive, depending on how cold it gets.

Succulents anyone?

With the weather expected to turn cooler in the next few weeks, we would like to remind people that now is the time to treat your plants for bugs before you bring them in for the weekend. We suggest either the Hi-Yield Systemic Instedt Granules or the Bonide Systemic Granules. We currently have both in stock and will work great for your plants. Both products control insects for 8 weeks.

We will be closed this Saturday for a family wedding. Please keep that in mind when planning your trip to see us this week.
