The Wichita Symphony is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Timothy Storhoff as its new Executive Director, a dynamic leader poised to usher in an exciting new chapter for the organization.
Dr. Storhoff’s impressive resume includes leadership roles in both the public and nonprofit sectors. He earned his Ph.D. in Musicology and Master’s of Music in Ethnomusicology from Florida State University, and undergraduate studies in Bassoon Performance and American Studies at the University of Iowa. His academic and professional journey reflects a lifelong passion for music and its role in shaping and reflecting cultural identities.
“It is an honor to accept the role of Executive Director for the Wichita Symphony,” Storhoff said. “Joining a forward-thinking organization with such a strong foundation, built on Daniel Hege's artistic leadership and the unwavering talent and dedication of the musicians, staff, and board, is truly exciting.”

Due to impending weather, Youth Concert Band auditions have been postponed until Tuesday, May 7 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at WSU Duerksen Fine Arts Center.
Please check your email for additional information including a video audition option if you are unable to attend the rescheduled audition date.
This is so true! The work of Wichita Symphony Ambassadors is so important. Please join our organization in making sure that young people continue to have Young People Concerts in Wichita!
