Preparing for the school year is no easy task, but the Wilkes-Barre Area football team and cheerleaders took time out of their busy practice schedules to help with our Back to School Supply Drive. They are pictured with donations for our young clients to start the new academic year off with a bang! Thanks to all who participated and to the organizer, CSC Mobile Therapist Jackie Rocha, who is the head coach of cheerleading at WBA. ✏️📕🖋🏈
We were off and running…and walking….and generally having a good time at yesterday’s 16th Annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk/Run. The memorial event honors Pauly Friedman, a Board Member at Family Service Association of Northeastern PA, and supports her favorite program -- PA 211 NE/Helpline for information, referral and crisis support. From left, our fierce ones included: CSC’s Tami Thomas, Chris Loughney, and Shelly Loughney; Shelby Yeager; and CSC’s Tom Mitchell, and son, Graham. Congrats on a great race for such a special and worthy cause!

It was great to celebrate community service with United Way of Wyoming Valley for the annual Day of Caring! We were fortunate to have close to 50 volunteers representing PNC, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, the Times Leader, P&G, TJ Maxx, InterMetro Industries Corp, Wilkes University and Benco Dental, who planted flowers, washed cars, and helped our youth with arts and crafts. WNEP-TV and FOX56 WOLF TV even stopped by to capture the day's activities. Thanks to all who participated and to United Way for continuing this amazing tradition for our community!
