Yesterday we celebrated our students' hard work and submissions to the Daughter's of the American Revolution annual art contest.

Lily Darrin came first in Sixth Grade Stamp Design for the Williamsburg Chapter and Virginia State Levels and second on the Eastern Division level!

Adelaide Blue & Noah Leak won Williamsburg Chapter Second Place for their grade!

We are so proud of their efforts and applaud their talent!

The doors of our Covenant Christian School building will once again be open starting TOMORROW! Please bring your student(s) to Covenant Christian School starting Tuesday, May 7. Drop-off and pick-up times remain the same. After school care will not begin again for the remainder of the year.

Artist study is such a wonderful time to dig deep into the works of the Masters and learn from them as we practice and admire art in our own lives.

These spectacular, little Kindergarteners are unlocking their phonics skills and building a strong foundation for reading and spelling! Phonics instruction at CCS involves "living" poems and books, hands-on manipulatives, paper and pencil practice, and more!

At Covenant Christian School we have a very simple play space for a purpose! These students use their imaginations in all kinds of creative ways when they aren't fettered by defined "toys" but create their own unique games and spaces using the ever-inspiring nature God created for us - check out these horse stables! 🐴

This winter air has us in a snowy kind of mood! Kindergarten read "SNOW" by Uri Shulevitz and made their very own snowstorm in a jar!

CCS has the loveliest Kindergarten classroom, and we ❤️ to see the world through their eyes.

Many of us remember unfolding a large map, noticing how different locations relate to one another, and charting our next adventures.

Our first grade class is learning map skills so that they can have a deeper understanding of where they live and start equipping themselves to be great adventurers!

Here, some 4th and 5th graders are leading our 2nd graders to their own "faraway lands" and enjoying beautiful living books together!

It's that time of year!
Join us for a beautiful time of scripture reading and carols. 🎶

Please arrive with your students by 6:15 in their dress clothes so that they are able to line up with their class.

It's so wonderful exploring cool season gardening with the students! Even with caps and coats on, tiny hands have been busy harvesting our beautiful root veg!

Our 4th and 5th graders are diving into Virginia studies this year, and it doesn't get much better than creating a topographical salt map!

The students had so much fun molding and shaping their states, each one ending up with its own fun personality and style.

Something as simple as spending time with a beautiful puzzle allows students to really "see" an artist's work and delve into the details.
