Susquehanna Regional EMS is looking for individuals interested in becoming an Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT). UPMC Williamsport is partnering with Pennsylvania College of Technology to offer a paid EMT training program. This 16-week course provides online and hands-on lab time to become industry-ready. As a customer of the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority, you were notified on November 25, 2022 of a problem with our drinking water and were advised to boil the water. We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil the water. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
The water main has been repaired and the pipe has been properly flushed to correct the problem. Water testing results indicate that the water is acceptable.

Members of the Williamsport Bureau of Fire, Williamsport Bureau of Police, and City Administration participated in the "Dodge Drugs" dodgeball event on Friday, October 28th at the Williamsport Area Middle School. (Community members vs. students.) The annual event helps to reinforce the importance of finding things to do OTHER than drugs.

*NEWS RELEASE* 16th Grand Slam Parade Traffic Detail
Streets In Williamsport Affected By Closures for Event
The Grand Slam Parade on Monday August 15 will require street closures associated with the event that afternoon and evening. Below are the streets that will be affected by it. Motorists are encouraged to look for alternate routes during this time or schedule additional time to utilize detours where applicable.
2:00PM West Fourth Street between Hepburn Street and Market Street will be closed until the end of event.
2:00PM Staging area at Hepburn Street to Government place will be blocked off and monitored for pedestrian traffic ONLY.
4:00PM Vine Avenue will close completely for staging area.
4:00PM No parking on West Fourth Street between Market Street and Grier Street.
4:00PM 4th Street Closed from Susquehanna to Rose Streets.
5:15PM Begin Rolling Street closure between Susquehanna and Hepburn on 4th Street.
6:00PM Market Street closed between 3rd Streets and 4th Streets.
City streets will being to re-open as soon as the last parade entry passes through the area. Only the section between Market Street and West Fourth Street will remain closed until all safety barricades are removed.
