Newberry Community Partnership
THE NEWBERRY COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP (NCP) promotes connections that bring neighbors together.
A community organization dedicated to promote Neighborhood Pride and make Newberry a better place to live.
A plastic bottle takes 450 years to decompose. NCP is no longer providing water in single use plastic at its events!
NCP has purchased a large reusable water jug and paper cups, which were used to hydrate volunteers at our recent Spring Clean event.
Over three hundred pounds of material was removed from the streets of Newberry!
Volunteers came from the community, STEP AmeriCorps PA and Americore Senior. Lunch came from Wegmans. THANK YOU

“Let’s Raise the Region!” Do you know what it’s about?
Raise the Region is a focused fundraiser benefiting non-profit community organizations of all sorts. The “Region” covers six area counties, including Lycoming. The event provides a chance for anyone to support the nonprofits of their choice, by helping them raise money and spreading the word about this event through social media. The trick is preparing NOW, because the event goes quickly!
Donations are accepted only through a secure online site that is available for only 30 hours. This year it starts at 6:00 PM on MARCH 13th and ends on MARCH 14th, at the stroke of midnight – like a classic fairy tale.
The money that comes in during those few hours has to cover our budget for the year. In Williamsport, like most municipalities, a significant number of public needs are met through private donations and nonprofit organizations rather than tax-funded programs. The more people that are aware of Raise the Region 2024, the stronger our Newberry Community can be. Visit https://www.raisetheregion.org soon.
MEETING: Tomorrow's meeting will focus on planning our Spring Community Clean Up event 😊 Please join us!
Hot off the presses! Here is the current issue of Inside Newberry!

Did you see the recent Sun Gazette story? Newberry Park, AKA Phillip Preziosi Park, may soon include a splash pad, pickle ball court, basketball court and youth soccer field IF a $500,000 state Department of Community and Economic Development grant is acquired by the City of Williamsport. The total project would cost about $1.1 million. Lets hope this much needed project can be funded!
