Shipmates from Division 37 are helping out at the Republican National Convention.

Sunny skies with mild temperatures and calm waters along with Des Plaines River on Saturday, July 6. Where were you? The great weather was calling your name!

Maybe you were at Harborside Marina in Wilmington, IL, along with members of Division 37’s United States Coast Guard Auxiliary who were handing out safety pamphlets and performing FREE 2024 vessel examinations. Even marina owner Brett Brncich had his vessel checked. Thanks Brett for your continued support and dedication to boating safety!

"The stars were out shining bright during Hinsdale’s red, white, and blue Fourth of July annual parade. Commander Timothy Tilghman, MSU Chicago, led an excited group of United States Coast Guard Auxiliarists from Divisions 33, 35, 37, and 39 along the parade route.


Humid temperatures with partially sunny skies, graced with an extremely light drizzle of Heaven’s Holy Water, did not hold back the thousands of colorful, happy, and loving Hinsdale citizens and guests who stood at attention, cheered, clapped, and shouted praises of thanks to the USCG AUX color guard and marchers.


It was an honor to lead this year’s Fourth of July parade in Hinsdale. Celebrate safe everyone!"

Flag day was established on June 14, 1777 to commemorate the date that the Second Continential Congress officially determined what our flag would be. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson officially named June 14th as Flag Day. Cutter Eagle, pictured here, shows off the flag in all its glory.

FC Sal Colello awards Robert Moses the USCG Auxiliary Membership Service Award for 5 years of dedicated service as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Today, Congress honored the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary with a proclamation read by Rep. Nick LaLota recognizing the significant and enduring contributions of Auxiliarists across the nation. Lieutenant Chris Booth from the Office of the Chief Director of Auxiliary at Coast Guard Headquarters described the proclamation as, “Truly unforgettable recognition that serves as a fitting tribute to the selfless volunteerism continuously exhibited by Auxiliarists as they educate America’s recreational boating public and augment important Coast Guard missions.” This special acknowledgment highlights the unwavering dedication and impact of our volunteers supporting Team Coast Guard.
