Director Kleefisch happens to be very good friends with Mr. Claus and he has made arrangements to visit Willowbrook between December 18th - 22nd to prepare for Christmas Day!

Gifts for children can be dropped off at Village Hall for Santa to deliver during the week of Dec 11th. Reese Baughman, a member of Girl Scout Troop 51190, is currently an ambassador in Girl Scouts. She has been a member of Girl Scouts since kindergarten at Gower West Elementary. The little library in Farmingdale Park is her Gold Award project, a project that high-school aged Girl Scouts participate in to make their communities a better place. The Gold Award is the highest award you can get in Girl Scouts. The inspiration for the little library came from her love for reading and she wants to share this with her community. Join the Village of Willowbrook as we transform Borse Memorial Community Park into a Winter Wonderland for one night only. Enjoy holiday caroling performances, ice sculpture demonstrations, a petting zoo, ornament craft stations, face painting, hot chocolate, giveaways and prizes. This year, we are very excited to add a Craft Fair component to the event. The Craft Fair will feature local Artisans and Crafters!

Today the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a federal public health agency, released its report, Evaluation of Ethylene Oxide Concentrations in Outdoor Air near Sterigenics.

Representatives from ATSDR will host a virtual public meeting on November 30th to discuss their report, see the press release for the meeting link and to view the full report.

The Pumpkin Smash is an annual effort by communities to divert pumpkins from landfills by providing locations for residents to drop-off jack-o-lanterns to be composted. Don’t Trash it, Smash it!

Hinsdale South High School will be hosting their Pumpkin Smash event in the stadium parking lot on Saturday, November 4th from 9am-12pm.
