Say hello to our Bar Manager, Isaac! Isaac joined our team in the fall of 2022 after leaving a stressful sales job and looking for something new. He brings prep and cooking experience but has really found a love for bartending here at Floriana. "What I enjoy most is the creative freedom of designing and creating cocktails and the family atmosphere of the workplace. It doesn’t feel like just going to work, rather it’s like home."

Meet Diego, the GM here at Floriana! Diego and his wife Sarah moved to Wilmington in January 2021 without knowing anything about the city. They spotted our balcony tables during a downtown walk and joked they were perfect for social distancing. Diego and Sarah booked a table the very next day, fell in love with the food, and returned for dinner twice that week!

"I decided I wanted to work at this restaurant and be around the food every day as I felt a strong connection to it." Diego brought with him a background in high-volume bartending previously working in Charlotte, NC. "My favorite part of coming into work every day is the relationship that we've built with our supportive local community of guests and the wonderful team that we’ve created over the years."

Growing up in Brazil with an Italian family, gnocchi was a staple in Diego's household. "My mother would always cook us gnocchi, so the Lamb Gnocchi has a special place in my heart. Pair that with a nice Super Tuscan, and I’m a happy guy."
