I’m coming up on two years here at Lemon Tree, and I’m feeling all the feels—gratitude, appreciation, and an overwhelming amount of joy. Like, the kind of joy that makes you ugly cry in the best way possible. 😅

For those of you that don’t know, is my husband John’s personal training studio. It’s in the back half of our space here at the Lemon Tree Embodiment Studio (yup, under the same roof—we just can’t seem to stay away from each other 😜). Not only does John share my values of movement as medicine, but he’s also an amazing cheerleader and support system, both in and out of the gym. 💪

It’s funny, isn’t it? How the best moments aren’t always the big, planned ones but the simple times spent with your people, just being. Maybe it’s a stretch on the mat or a laugh shared in the quiet between breaths, but it’s real, it’s grounding, and it reminds you why you keep showing up.
We’re not here for perfection; we’re here for connection—for that feeling when passion and purpose collide, and you know, deep down, you’re exactly where you need to be.

I’m all about getting my body moving, no matter how it happens, but there’s something about a good walk that just hits differently. It clears my mind, resets my mood, and honestly, it just feels right. And when the kids tag along, we turn it into a little adventure—it’s amazing what a ‘race to the bridge’ can do to keep them moving.
At the end of the day, it’s all about finding movement that feels good and works for you (and your kids 🤣). That’s exactly what we aim for here at the studio. Finding your flow, your own way.
I, like so many of you, am just heartbroken by what’s happening to our beloved mountain towns. And here’s what I know—in times like these, community always finds a way to show up, even when the weight feels too much to carry.
So, on October 4th & 18th at 9 AM, we will meet for a donation-based yoga flow at the studio, where we’ll root ourselves in compassion and send all the love and peace we can to our neighbors. Every cent goes directly to the Red Cross, who are actively on the ground helping residents. 💛
You know that moment when life gets SO chaotic that even the tiniest inconvenience makes you want to scream into a pillow? Yeah, that’s usually my cue to hit pause and find some zen. 😅 Whether it’s a quick yoga session, a deep breath while the world keeps spinning, or, let’s be real, an actual scream into that pillow—it’s all about finding a way to reset. 🤣

💃 Mandy Salty Dog Yoga & Surf is all set to throw a 90’s Dance Party Yoga session, and yes, you’ll have the time of your life doing it!

Sometimes, it feels like one has to give. And honestly, sometimes, one does have to give. That’s life. A little give, a little take.
THEN there are those amazing moments when the two can combine! Sometimes self-care can look like gathering the fam, going to the park, and getting some fresh air! 😌 This is just a little reminder that self-care doesn’t have to be daunting and it definitely doesn’t have to feel like you’re choosing yourself over your family. You know, play is actually great for your imagination and creativity (but, don’t stress about making play productive, okay? 😂).

There’s nothing quite like watching my daughter try to master a pose beside me. Being a mom and a yoga teacher means our yoga sessions are a mix of intentional breathing and lots of goofing around together, as you can tell.
Seeing her find joy and peace on the mat is a feeling like no other. It’s these types of moments that highlight the essence of the embodiment studio – finding balance and connection within ourselves and each other. 💛
