Student spotlight time!💡Mae Owens just started her first semester in our Veterinary Medical Technology program! Originally from California, she relocated to the area because her husband is stationed at Camp Lejeune with the United States Marine Corps.
After learning about the program, Mae attended the open house with her young son and was immediately impressed. As she juggles her studies and motherhood, Mae is excited about the opportunities her degree will bring. She appreciates the career flexibility in this field, which will allow her to keep pursuing her passion even as her husband’s assignments change.

Big news! We're excited to announce our new partnership with the Southeastern Line Constructors Apprenticeship & Training (SELCAT) program. This partnership will provide CFCC's Electrical Lineworker program graduates with a direct pathway into SELCAT's prestigious apprenticeship program.

Time for another student spotlight! Ivan Ramirez is originally from Naples, Florida, but spent half his life in Mexico. He graduated from New Hanover High School and is now studying business administration at CFCC. Ivan plays an active role on campus as the Student Government Association’s vice president and student ambassador.
After completing his studies at CFCC, Ivan plans to transfer to a four-year university to major in business administration with a concentration in finance. His career goals include working in the tech or finance sectors before eventually attending law school.

CFCC is offering a free English as a Second Language (ESL) course at Cape Fear Middle School (1866 NC-133, Rocky Point, NC). The ESL course will run from August 27 to November 21 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This course is open to all adults age 18 or older and designed to help non-native English speakers improve their language skills, enabling them to better integrate into the community and enhance their employment opportunities.
