About 13 years ago when we were opened on a Super Bowl Sunday we learned the obvious lesson that it was not a good day of business for our little Thai place. Since then we look forward to Super Bowl as an annual day off, time with friends and family, possibly catching the game, definitely the commercials.

Did you know, in addition to our made-to-order Thai and sushi menus, Tuesday through Friday during lunch we also run a hot bar! Our staff will make you a plate with either one or two of the daily entree options, including your side choice between fried rice, white rice or lo mein noodle.

Hello everyone, Chow Thai will be closed today, Sunday July 10th, and Tuesday July 12th to give our kitchen staff a much deserved rest.

We'll be back at work on Wednesday!

Hello everyone, we’d like to share some information which we hope will make things more clear about what we’re doing at Chow Thai. There’ve been numerous questions within the last few days since we reopened. We’d waited to finalize some details to be able to give you the most useful and permanent answers to those questions and concerns. We’re listing a few here and hope that the image accompanying this post may provide a bit more of an insight as well.

1. Are we making food to order?
Yes, we are, beginning this Tuesday, August 11th you’ll be able to order most of our items the same way you’ve always been able to. That is, meat options, spice levels, add-ons, etc. We’ll be taking pick-up order by phone or you may order online.

2. Are we serving buffet?
No, we are not. However, in addition to our made-to-order food, we now have a steam-table line with ready to serve food where we can quickly assemble a meal for you with little to no wait time.

3. Is sushi made to order?
Yes. Our sushi is always made fresh when you ordered. We’ve pared down some of the most time-consuming items from the sushi menu to reduce the wait. We’re now pleased to announce a scrumptious lineup of Poke Bowls.

4. Do you deliver?
Yes, we will be providing a delivery option. The details are being finalized. We hope to have a delivery option available next week.

4. Why these changes?
As in the case with most restaurants, the pandemic has changed our establishment into an almost exclusively takeout business. Additionally, it meant that most guests order at the same time. With a shortened kitchen staff, this created a constant extended wait time of close to 2 hours on a regular basis. We’d like to be able to give you the option to still get the food that you’ve loved if you don’t mind the wait, but also some options that are ready for you if you can’t.

We sincerely hope that this information helps you. Please don’t be alarmed by the unfamiliarity. We’re the same family and chefs, making the same food. We’ve made these updates with all of you in mind.
